Golden State Warriors Talk

Q has to be the leader for a two-way spot.
Perry was the only other player to catch my eye; he showed some solid athleticism.

Podziemski was sorely disappointing. His on-ball offensive package seemed to consist solely of (low-percentage) mid-range floaters - not entirely unexpected given his scouting report. I don't recall him finishing at the rim one time, and im not even sure he attempted to, tho my interest in the game waned as it went on. When his shot wasn't falling, I did like how he continued to drive and kick, but he seemed to have as many turnovers in this game as he did nice feeds. He seemed reluctant to pull the trigger from 3. Not sure if maybe coaches asked him not to, as this is the time to possibly develop other aspects of his game, but I do remember at least twice where the Warriors appeared to run plays for him to get open for 3. He moved around well off-ball, which is a good sign, but didn't pull the trigger when the ball got to him. He should have a quick enough trigger to get the ball off with the amount of space he was afforded, so was a bit bummed to not see him attempt what was his calling card as a prospect. Looking forward to watching his next game.

Really bummed we didn't get to see Trayce at all.

I disagree on Pod. He showed that he is an excellent passer and would have had several more assists if he wasnt playing with crap players who cant finish at the rim. In a game that typically is about guys being selfish and just looking for their own shots ( hello Santos), he played team ball, drove the ball well to the hoop, and kicked out the ball to his teammates. There are things that I like for sure about his game. I would like him to catch and shoot the 3 better rather than have to move to his right before shooting. Hopefully that part of his game will improve. But overall, a good start in my opinion.

Quinones was very good and I cant imagine him not being offered one of the 2 way spots. I hope the other goes to a big man. Santos should play in the G League to develop other parts of his game besides just shooting 3s.

Entirely possible my expectations of Pod were just overblown and I am overly critical of him as a result of him not meeting those unrealistic expectations. It did seem to me, upon live viewing, that the game was moving a bit fast for him, at least in the first half when I was paying more attention, but that shouldn't be too unexpected I suppose.
Being linked to Bol Bol now. Can we really get this dude? That would be awesome

Bol Bol to hit waivers after being waived by Orlando Magic. Bring him home!

He isnt going to get more than a vet min deal most likely. He will probably have his choice of suitors and hopefully he chooses the Dubs. They could use a guy who can block shots and play limited minutes.

Just add Bol and Saric and call it a day. Quinones as a 2 way along with a big

He can dribble, block shots and shoot the 3. He'd have a definite roll with us.
Pod, Quinones, and Santos all looking good in this game. It would be a shame to lose Quinones if a team signs him to an offer sheet. Hopefully that doesnt happen and he is a 2 way player for us.

Mo Bamba would have been a better fit but gone to sixers now.

really really needed a backup big. Maybe Javale gets bought out and comes back on the vet minimum

Not much left. Bol is really more of a PF as is Saric. With 3 spots open you would hope a big man in the middle would be one.

He should have at least been in for his defense in the playoffs. Bad, decision by Kerr, but he should see a hell of minutes this season.

i think Kuminga is defacto 6th man this year if Paul is really gonna get starter time when we go small ball. steph, klay and draymond will get more rest this year with Paul on the squad so if Paul can make kuminga and moody more productive there will be plenty of minutes. I honestly think Moody is a better player at this point in their careers and I wouldnt be surprised if he gets more than kuminga but kuminga has more upside if he can chill the f**k out and not spaz out all the time when he gets excited like Poole did
and we still need Bol and Saric. we dont need a shaq center, Bol would do well in our offense. he can move, he can shoot and he can block. draymond and loon are gonna take on the big boys most of the time anyway
