And yes, while logically these deals aren't bad and we've improved our Swiss cheese defense from last season, the money going out to these two defensemen doesn't match their production.

It likely won't hinder us long term, but I would have preferred the oilers (division rival) be stuck with a bad contract than us

Lol. I think i might trust Grier. The Sharks were way under the cap and added 3 quality vets who immediately help the team. Verhoff and Lin are 2 years away and this doesn't hinder the long term at all.

Even with these signings the Sharks are 60 million under the cap for 2027/2028
