Great draft for your Sharkies. And the most cap room in the league. Tomorrow will be fun.

Didn't realize they had the most cap room. FA tomorrow could be very interesting - hopefully, they'll get at least one or two of the main guys they target. Also, wouldn't rule out a trade at some point this offseason.

Aaron Ekblad would be interesting ... he's not too old and he's unrestricted ... there is the drug issue, but maybe he wants a fresh start?
Nope stays in FL
Depends where Grier is at in the rebuild. If he feels he is done with the lottery, then he may be more aggressive. If he feels he still needs to pick in the top 10 again this next year, we'll likely try to target some 1 year rentals with the hopes of flipping them.
If Grier makes some significant signings (Gravikov, Provorov, maybe granlund again) and tries for Marner, then the rebuild might be close to ending.

#SJSharks qualified Bordeleau, Gushchin & Thompson.

Didn't qualify Berglund, Burke, Coe, Gregor, Kostin, Kovalenko, Romanov & Russell.
Shocking about Kovalenko. Qualify him, maybe flip his rights another day.
Sharks gotta wear that, making him a key piece of Blackwood trade.

I assume Ekblad would stay in FL ... hard to leave a winning team ... but who knows :)
The rebuild is still going, the kids are too young and raw to really win now, but they can't keep losing most of their games without starting to damage the kids, so I think they will make moves to win more games now and build the culture the right way going forward.
It's not that they have to win half of their games, but they need to not lose 5 in a row anymore, they need to have a chance.
At the same time there is real power of the kids coming up together and winning with guys close in age.

It will be interesting to see if Celebrini becomes the accepted leader since he certainly seems to be the type. The concern is that they come together fast enough to keep from breaking down the confidence of the players. Bedard certainly struggled with it last year.

Sharks fans - tell me why I should be excited about old-ass Mikael Granlund.

I thought he was the 2nd best player on the team when they moved him.
