In not one that cares what a guy does in the offseason but to have that drop in the middle of the playoffs is a bad look.

It is when you're missing open layups.

This was the documentary I worked on in Salt Lake. He filmed some stuff during the off-season but most of it was during the season.

Their whole plan was to drop it during the playoffs as well.

Not only did Steph miss 5 or 6 layups in an overtime 5 point loss, but almost every one of those fueled a run for Houston.

I remember we cut the lead to 5, steph missed a layup which turned into a fast break transition. 3. That's a difference of being down 3 and down 8. Not to mention we missed a shot the next possession and then they drained another 3. Should have been down 3 and then 20 seconds later we are down 11.

This happened multiple times too where Stephs blown layup led a fast break bucket the other direction.

I think this layup thing is an aberration, but he has now played 8 consecutive s**t games. We cant just rely on KD to carry us.

My hope is that him getting blasted today by all the talking heads in sports media (well deserved) lights a fire under him for game 4.

Hope so. Problem is the media and fans are blasting him for the layups, which not only wont happen again, but is taking the focus off the fact that he has just been horrible in most other facets of the game for an extended stretch now.

bingo.

And that's going as far back as the end of this regular season. Yet most of us were hoping that the playoffs were when he would turn it up. The Clippers series was a cold wake up call that, no... the magic of past seasons just isn't there right now.

Maybe it's the ankle injury or the dislocated finger. I don't know. But I don't have much confidence that he'll change too much during the post season.

I do think his injuries are a factor. However, if they are hurting his shot then he simply should not be chucking up 23 shots many of which are bad looks. He needs to realize that he has the best scorer in the world on his team and not force things.
Kerr says Cousins may be back before these playoffs are over.

He's known for following up eggs with brilliance, but just not in the playoffs.

He'll be fine - just needs to let it go.
