The NBA really has 3 great young centers with Embiid, KAT, and Jokic. Embiid is the best defensively but I think the other 2 are better on the offensive end. You can probably just pencil these guys in for the next several years for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd team ALL NBA.

I could argue Joel is better on both sides of the ball than those named

I wouldn't say that plus I believe Embiid just turned 24 and KAT is 22 for another 6 months.

But, I do believe Embiid has higher ceiling than those guys. He has played very little in the NBA and he started playing basketball in his mid-teens. That's crazy. He has more room for improvement. If not for injuries - I'll easily take him over the other two if I'm starting a team.

Yes but injuries are a huge part of the equation. The other 2 are safer picks. I would probably take Towns given his age and the fact that he has never been hurt.

Fair enough. If Embiid has another healthy season like this season - then I'll have no problem but until then - I agree with you.

Which young player (played 3 or less years in NBA) you'd take right now if you're starting a new franchise?

I wouldn't put him in the same class as those three but Capela is only 23. Those guys are super stars but Capela will probably make a few All-Stars in his career.

I'd add Devin Booker at 6. 25 pts per game and improved at his all around game too.

Harden made 98 step back 3 pointers this season. 2nd, 3rd and 4th combined for 84. In addition, he just had the best offensive isolation season ever (wasnt tracked before 04 so no idea on MJ numbers).

He scored 12.2 points per game in iso, 2nd most since it's been tracked. The one season better, Kobe, averaged 1.07 per shot. Harden averaged 1.22 causing many to call it the best season ever.
Frank Vogel has been fired by Orlando.
Knicks have fired Jeff Hornacek.

playing 63 games is a healthy season? lol

Dude has been hurt every year since college. Its not a fluke. He is fragile and I would no way pick him over any of the other centers because you cant trust him to be on the court

Absolutely a healthy season.

Missing games bc he got hit in the face isn't going to make anyone say he's injury prone. This is a healthy season. That can happen to anyone. His real health issues are back and knee.
