2016-2017 NBA FINALS: Cavs v. Warriors

Cavs have the best player and guard. Warriors the best team

Will Durants soft ass be able to handle the pressure?

If these are your takes, I am starting to doubt your handle ... lol. Best guard ... seriously? At best it is a push, but personally I don't think it is close. And the next time Irving plays defense will be the first time. And he does not have near the gravity that Curry does (the ability to tilt the court).

Durant averaged 30 ppg on 65% TS in his first trip to the finals (against a LBJ team), and he was only 23 I think. A lot better team / talent around him now. If you are banking on KD being a weak link in this series, prepare to be disappointed.

And the difference between last year and this year from a Warrior perspective is night and day ... even if they did not have Durant I would say this. They were great last year in the regular season, they were gassed and dinged up all post season. Not to mention coming off a killer WCF, while Cleveland did their normal walk through the cakes to get there.

Im a huge fan of Kyrie's talent and was arguing earlier this year that he was better than Thomas and that I would take him any day over IT. But to say he is the best guard in the series is a stretch. So yes, I agree with you. As for Durant.. all you can do is laugh when someone calls him soft.

You guys must not be aware of what i do around here

If the Warriors hit on all cylinders and light up the scoreboard with 3's they could win in 4 straight. However, if it becomes a possession battle and each shot is pressure packed I know how LeBron will react. As for the other guys they came up short last year and Durant has only one trip to the Big Show and he came up short that time. My only question is, why is the NBA making us wait sooooooo long for the opening tip-off.

Was game 3 not key? Cavs won that with a chance to even it up game 4 just like game 5 and 6 but GS had no issues bouncing back from their game 3 loss with a win. They had that same opportunity game 6...

Of course they had the opportunity but a lot changed after the Game 5 win. Cleveland got confidence, they suddenly had hope, and and momentum. Well maybe not momentum since 4ML has surveyed every player and coach who has ever won a title and I guess momentum doesnt carry over. LMAO.

We can debate this forever but I believe Draymond's suspension changed everything in the series. Warriors fans believe this. Cavs and Lebron homers dont. Just the way it is.

I get that. I just don't see the difference between game 6 and game 4. Games 3 and 5 were must win games just for CLE to stay alive but GS had no issues bouncing back in game 4 but failed to bounce back in game 6

Warriors can hit all cylinders pretty much every game. But the game is controlled by the refs

It wasnt so much about the Warriors in Game 6. It was more about the Cavs. Winning Game 5 gave them the confidence and belief they could really win. Like Steve just said.. this was a dead team after game 4. That win gave them what they needed going forward. That is the biggest difference between 4 and 6 in my opinion.

That's fair but when you win 73 games and have the unanimous MVP you simply can't be the first team ever to lose a 3-1 lead, no matter how you slice it. Draymond was there for game 6 and looked awful. He was there for game 7 and played out of his mind.....and they lost. Still having 2 games to win 1 with 1 being at home and coming up short is unacceptable given the circumstances (73 win team, unanimous MVP, never losing 3 in a row, home game, 3 All NBA players)...simply unacceptable. CLE showed they deserved that title. This year I expect GS to win though. I don't see how CLE, with their defensive scheme, can get the stops they need. You can get a wide open 3 damn near every possession vs them

As much as I hate to admit it, this is true. There were contributing factors, but at the end of the day it was a monster implosion combined with outstanding play from Cleveland down the stretch. Cavs didn't give up.

If only people could stop talking about it. I'm sure the Warriors are itching to get rid of that taste.

Oh I know they are lol I'm a huge LeBron fan and picked them to win last year but I'm not liking what I've seen from them defensively combined with how great Curry, KD and Green have shot. I also think Klay will wake up and it creates a scenario similar to what we saw in 2014. LeBron coming back with a bunch of old vets playing a team that is red hot from behind the arc, can play great defense and is looking for revenge. I think GS wins in 5

That's all really to it...and I agree with Sims.

This year - Warriors are incredibly better offensively and Cavs are worse defensively. This will not end well for the Cavs.

Yea...Warriors in 5 sounds about right.

But, last year's win will always taste good. Made a 73 win team go out and add 2nd best player in the league to beat Lebron.

That tells me what the Warriors management thought of their chances against Lebron with last year's roster

So if we had won last year, we wouldn't have Durant?

Well then. Thank you for beating us

You just love to make these statements dont you. EVERY player/coach. LOL You dont think winning games gives a team confidence and builds momentum? You dont believe that winning Game 5 after Draymonds suspension gave the Cavs a feeling that they could really win the series? Did you ever play sports at all because I would think that if you did you would understand how winning breeds confidence which builds momentum for a team.

The Cavs had nothing to do with the Dubs adding KD. Every team in the league, regardless of their record the previous season, wanted Kevin Durant. The Warriors were just smart enough and fortunate enough to be in a position to sign him.
