Greatest achievement of Lebron's career - more than the greatest comeback in NBA history against what would have been at the time the greatest team of all time - was to come back from that 2011 humiliation - on and off the court - and put together 10 straight years complete domination of the game and became the undisputed top 3 player of all time.

No one - including me - thought he would reach this level after the ridiculous scrutiny he received for his performance in those finals.

Jordan once said - he wouldn't have survived the social media era as a player. Lebron not only survived - he mastered it.

All of that - comes from being scared of failure. All greats have it. Jordan had it - Lebron had it.

Only fools who don't care about failing are not scared.

At least he's not one of those who choose to provide context ONLY when it benefits their argument.

Do you actually believe JJ Barea said those things?

Yea MJ guys wouldn't mention anything if Lebron lost in the first round 3 times in a row before getting another player and then winning after that

Lebron is the best player ever lol

Best player ever since 2003. Unfortunately NBA history goes back a bit further than that. The actual GOAT is Michael Jordan.

And it's not even close. TBH I don't even have him on my all time top 5 team. I went back and forth, but kept Bird over him. He's right there on the 2nd team through. All time great player, just not the 🐐

I'm pretty sure it's fake bc Barea can't be that dumb to say stuff like that when Mavs were mostly playing zone defense to stop Lebron - a defense that'll be illegal in 90s.

Mavs employed damn good zone defense against Lebron. It was Duane Casey's defense that got him the HC job in Toronto that same summer. He taught Nick Nurse who employed similar defense against Giannis 8-9 years later.

Lebron will tell you that Casey exposed him in 2011 - and that series helped him learn what he lacked and what he needs to work on. We know what Lebron did to Casey's Toronto Raptors rest of that decade. Eventually got him fired a week after he won Coach of the year.

MJ was the best player during expansion era. Hands down. Unfortunately NBA history goes back and forward than that. Actual GOAT before 2003 - Kareem. Lebron is the all time GOAT. Not even close anymore. MJ will probably end up outside my top 5 in a few years when couple other players are close to the end of their careers.

All time great player though - just not the 🐐
