2016 - 2017 NBA Discussion Thread

I wouldn't say that. Harden still has a great chance of capturing it. Especially, since he's made his team a possible title contender while the Thunder are far from that.

Westbrook with greatest individual season.

Should be unanimous MVP.

Most amazing/fun player to watch in the league.
Suns win again and the Lakers win again lol

Apparently people on Reddit are actually saying this was the right call (or no-call):

"It's actually legal in the rulebook section 3-1.26 if two players hold the ball and step out of bounds it negates the out and counts as legal...

Good call by the refs"

Didn't know that.

EDIT: Actually looking further into it, there's a deep discussion if two "players" is referring to two players period or two players on opposite teams.

No where near as bad as being baseball's winningest team of the 1990s with only 1 WS title to show for it and a bunch of choke jobs. They're complete rubbish now, but hey they play in a nice cookie cutter ballpark located 30 minutes away from downtown metro!

Looks like a foul to me. Dude with the ball is getting it from behind.

Bazemore was out of bounds before he touched the ball and never established himself in-bounds.

Anyway, who cares? It's 1 regular season game. Refs make mistakes.

lol This is true. Plus, I think a real argument can be made for James Harden being the MVP anyway. I dont like him and he isnt as much fun to watch as Westbrook but the numbers and team results can not be overlooked.

oh look.. Val cut and pasted the same comment he made from earlier this year. I guess when your team sucks in every sport there is nothing else to do.

Hmm...what Westbrook is doing this year doesn't take anything away from what Curry did last year.

...and of course Westbrook is no Curry. They two completely different PGs.
