The Contenders

1. Clemson - Most impressive win in CFB
2. Alabama - Won against Ole Miss on the road
3. Ohio State - Won against Oklahoma on the road
4. Michigan - Won against Wisconsin, but at home
5. Tennessee - beat Florida and Georgia on the road
6. Houston - Beat Oklahoma, but at home
7. Louisville - Beat Florida State and close loss to Clemson
8. Washington - beat Stanford, but at home
9. Texas A&M - Beat UCLA and Arkansas, both at home
10. Wisconsin - basically home win against LSU, close loss to Michigan on the road

Great team, but coming up short

11. Ole Miss - beat Georgia and a good Memphis team, loss to Alabama and Florida State
12. North Carolina - Beat Florida State, loss to Georgia
13. Florida State - Beat Ole Miss, but lost to North Carolina and Louisville
14. Stanford - 3 solid major conference wins, followed by a dismantling on the road against Washington
15. Nebraska - 3 solid major conference wins, yet to be really tested

Pretenders
16. Arkansas - solid win against TCU on the road, beaten at home by A&M
17. Miami - undefeated. But one of the softest schedules so far.
18. Oklahoma - lost to Houston and Ohio State, bounced back to beat TCU on the road
19. West Virginia - Undefeated, but similar to Miami, very soft schedule so far
20. Colorado - 2 wins against Oregon Schools, only loss to Michigan on the road

Staying for a shortwhile?
21. Utah - bitter loss to Cal, makes Utah look tough at home and weak on the road
22. Baylor - near loss to Iowa State, beat Oklahoma State at home
23. Boise State - 2 wins against weak PAC-12 teams
24. Georgia - Beat North Carolina, but lost to Ole Miss and Tenn
25. Western Michigan - Too bad they won't play any top teams, but undefeated counts for something

Just missed
26. Auburn - early losses to Clemson and A&M could be hiding the fact they are a good team
27. Maryland - D.J. Durkin is undefeated, but doesn't play anyone until 2nd half of season
28. Air Force - special nod for being undefeated, super easy schedule though
29. Florida - Their only tough game they lost, but it was close
30. USC - They opened with one of the toughest schedules, and after trouncing ASU could finish strong

Noteable teams:

South Florida, Virginia Tech, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas, Indiana, Cal, ASU, UCLA, LSU, Troy

I don't think CU is pretending. They had Michigan on the ropes until their starter got hurt and Peppers went off.

I think they will lose @ USC IMO. USC is currently favored by 4.5.

It will be interesting, USC against ASU routinely used safety blitzes and put 8 man in the box, relying on pressure to kill a young QB while their DBs are pretty good.

Winning at Oregon is notable, but Oregon has now dropped 3 straight and this looks to be the worst Oregon team since 2004

When A&M beat the Hawgs, it was Jerry World, not College Station.

The weather in the ND/NCS game just cost NSC points. Fumbled on 3rd and goal at the 1 and weren't even able to attempt the FG. Ball was snapped high and hit the holder in the face.

I was there 2 weeks ago and the stadium was 2/3 filled
