GSW can now enjoy the same fair weather fans they've always hated the Lakers for.

The Los Angeles Lakers are prepared to offer DeMar DeRozan a max contract in the offseason starting at $25 million per season.

DeRozan can decline his player option with the Toronto Raptors to become a free agent.

Replacing DeRozan would be difficult for the Raptors but there is a succession plan with Terrence Ross at shooting guard.

Masai Ujiri re-signed every core player when he was general manager of the Denver Nuggets and re-signing DeRozan at the max would become its own litmus test.
Close game at the half. Kobe started the game but is now out with a sore achilles that's held him out of the last few games. He better play thrusday in oakland. I'm going to that game and paid a pretty penny to see his ass.
Wow. They finished strong!
1) Randle has got to stop with this sour puss attitude. Reminds me too much of Blake Griffin's b***h ass. He's constantly upset about something rather than just playing.

2) I'm liking Nance more and more with each game. He doesn't do much wrong and does the little things a team needs to win. For example, in the 4th quarter you can see him constantly encouraging Randle (see 1. above), which led to Randle playing with more energy and getting a couple big buckets down the stretch.

3) This is the point in the season where the Lakers strategy of mixing veterans with rookies pays off most. Whether its Kobe, Lou, MWP or even Hibbert there seems to be accountability and real effort toward improving as individuals and as a team. I havent watch other rebuilding teams as much as the Lakers, but I can only imagine how reckless Randle or Russell would play if they were considered the leaders of the team rather than looking up to the veterans.

4) I guess some credit has to be given to Byron too, he really reminds me of Singletary. Hopefully he can served his purpose and contributed to the blue collar mentality and lay the groundwork for the next coach to have a Harbaugh-esque run.
lets say the Sixers get pick 1 and Lakers get pick 2

Would you guys trade pick 2 and D Russell for Nerlens and pick 1?

So basically Russell for Simmons and Noel? I'd do it.

yup Lakers get Simmons and Noel

Sixers get Russell and Ingram

Sixers have to trade a big man if Embiid comes back healthy and i like what ive seen out of Ingram lately. Either way id be happy with Simmons or Ingram at this point

^Seconded. But it'd be close for me. I reallly like D-Lo and it's been nice seeing him go from his first game of the season to the last game I saw him (against Sac).
Love the fact that Scott brought Kobe back in the last few minutes to let him get the ovation from the Warriors fans. Classy

Yeah that was nice. Props to Kobe for playing tonight even though his trainer advised against it. Hope he can get healthy enough to have some signature Kobe performances before the end.

I agree. He didnt need to play but obviously wanted to reward the Warriors fans with one last appearance. As you say.. major props
Was nice to see this small ball lineup get some run...

Russel
Clarkson
Brown
Randle
Nance

Could be a solid small ball lineup with the ability to pretty much switching every screen. Would love to have an athletic scorer in the 3 spot instead of a 3andD guy like Brown next year, but this will do for now. Even though some of these guys are good rebounders for their position, they'd have to get even better at rebounding to make the lineup work, but would be a fun to watch going forward as they build some chemistry.

Really liked seeing Randle + Nance frontcourt. Hopefully that's something we see more of from Coach.

Kind of surprised we're about a month away from the trade deadline and I'm not hearing anything with regards to us trying to ship a veteran or two. Lou Williams and Bass have been played really well as of late. I would imagine some contender that needs another piece or two wouldn't mind shipping a 1st for one of them.

I can see someone wanting Lou, by he's still got a couple years on his deal so that might be a deterrent. I don't see how Bass, Hibbert, Swaggy, Sacre, or Kelly getting any minutes on a contender so I dont see a trade for a 1st round pick happening, but hopefully I'm wrong.
