I think it might have something to do with Kevie and Lazzo being team-mates when Kevie's wife died. I'm pretty sure the Bronco's ended up winning the comp that year.
Lazzo said he reckons Kevie deserved the Queensland coaching role and as such was gonna back the Maroons for Kevie's sake.
