That was worth keeping the TV on for.

Very impressive. Never would have seen this coming to be honest. Did they get more than 15K in the stadium tonight? The lack of fan support for this team is pretty awful even with the pathetic stadium they play in.

23,500 tonight.

Turning it on a little thick with the low blows, dontcha think? lol

Not a low blow. This team deserves more than 23K for a Friday night when they are playing the best baseball in the league outside of Boston and playing perhaps their biggest game in years vs Houston. Hell, outside of Phoenix hardly anyone posts in here. Compare that to the Giants who are barely average and yet have a great fan base. I am not an A's fan but there should be a LOT more attention to what they are doing.
28th highest payroll in baseball, 4th best record in the league currently.

Amazing season. Two months ago they were barely .500 and about 9 games out of first. Now they are tied for first. They are 4-1 the last 5 games vs the two teams they are fighting the division for. Keep this up.

This. They are the 2nd hottest team in baseball behind Boston.

Usually what happens when you play in a dump of a stadium. That whole place needs to be torn down pronto.

And when management and ownership makes it so difficult to root for the team.

I really hope they change sooner or later so I can root for them again, but I wouldn't be able to root and get attached to this team again for them to let Khris Davis go and trade Chapman 3 years from now for a below average 3rd baseman and a 17 year old prospect. That s**t hurts my heart lol

Cespedes still stings. The lineup would go ice cold every time he was out on the DL, so I hated it from the start. Even as good as Lester had been. Then, he saved one of his worst playoff starts for his time as an Athletic. It was like a bad movie for me, so I wonder if Beane kicks himself for that one.
