Couldn't find much on you tube but his suplex was legendary.

couldn't find anything either. I'm pretty sure it was this guy. Oleg "The Russian Bear" Taktarov. Should be on FightPass, if anyone subscribes. s**t kindda traumatized me.

I vaguely remember that fight. He inflicted a lot of damage is about all I remember. He was a "beast".
all i got was gay porn.

LOL. Aldo, Edgar and Mendes, Lamas is the not on the level of Edgar or Mendes IMHO.

And Royce and Page have no business on this list IMO. Prime Royce in todays UFC would not be nearly as good as he was in the early days when nobody had a clue how to defend his BJJ. Royce is incredibly significant to ushering in MMA on a bigger stage but not one of the GOATS. Page was a very good LHW but again even Prime Rampage is not beating Jon Jones. Also should greatest MMA fighter not UFC fighter thus to include the option of Fedor Emelianenko who is in the discussion of GOATS when it comes to MMA as well as Big Nog (especially his PRIDE career) and Wanderlei Silva (again for what he accomplished in PRIDE).

I like you man, but you're crazy.

Royce Gracie is the reason every single fighter in the UFC learns BJJ. You can fight without learning wrestling, but you sure as s**t ain't stepping into the UFC without learning BJJ. Go ask Brock Lesnar after his first fight.

Gracie won three times when there were no rules, against guys twice his size. Hell, that was back when it was a tournament, and you had to fight multiple times, with no time limits... s**t, he had a 90 minute fight against the "Gracie Killer."

So what if "nobody had a clue how to defend his BJJ?" If I kicked your ass using some crazy dripping wet dog style Kung Fu you had never seen before, you going to make up an excuse for it because you'd never fought against it before? There were no rules... they could have done basically anything they wanted. They got their asses kicked.

Royce is a pioneer of the sport but not nearly the greatest of all time

He's great for his time and that's all. He would get beat in today's MMA by a lot of guys. I do put him in the discussion of a GOAT, just like I would Bill Russel in the NBA. Obviously neither guy would do nearly as well now, but you still have to respect what they did in the past.

The rules are the reason today's fighters would win, and the reason he left. He won when that s**t was as close to a street fight as you can get, even when fighters like Ken Shamrock, a shoot fighter (muay Thai and wrestling) began training in BJJ to compete against him. That's why he's the best of all time.

I think its funny how these guys are saying Gracie would lose in today's ufc. Like something has magically changed because it's on TV now.

Some of these mma disciplines are thousands of years old. You guys do understand this is fighting and not football right?

People acting like fighters today are better than previous fighters are just ignorant and misinformed!

I can see Gracie being successful in this era as a Damien Maia type fighter.

In todays era he would fight people in his own weight class and he would dominate. Gracie fought and won against guys nearly twice his size. We are talking about a middle weight beating super heavy weights. None of the posers today could pull that off!!!

You better stop watching that stuff, it may turn you into a boxer.
Not to mention tournament style when you had to fight 3-4 times in one night. You kids need to get caught up on the real deal. UFC is a tame kitten now. If you don't konw about "pride" then you don't know mma.

Who else brother? Royce, of course. I was backing him post one. I think most fighters today are sissies personally, including modern day Gracies.
