Almost all of Floyd's fights have been in 8 oz gloves. He's never been hit by a 154 pounder in them so he may regret it but he's doing it to increase his own punching speed which has apparently dipped.

That amateur club level boxer has been landing flush on MMA fighters faces for 10 years. And he has put many men down by punching them square in their faces. That does not mean Conor will KO Floyd, but let's not pretend that he has not shown he has some good power and has not shown very good timing and precision within the world of MMA.

Is Conor going to win ? Probably not, especially if he tries to outbox a world class elite level boxer like Floyd. But if he can find a way to land some good clean shots, there is a definite possibility (even if but a small possibility) he could drop Floyd or even potentially KO him. Floyd has proven he can take a shot, but there are a host of fighters in all of combat sports who have proven they can take a shot until they can't.

ya, that's the only reason CM even has a puncher's chance. 10 years ago, this matchup would be laughable. I mean, it's still kindda funny, but at least CM has a shot in hell at landing the perfect shot.
