There is something to be said for Conor being willing to step in the ring with no professional experience against the best boxer today. That deserves some respect instead of all the hate he's getting. Sure I understand money is the motivating factor, but still. He's risking getting KTFO and that would drastically effect his career. Could be like Rousey, she was never the same after she got slept

How many of you have actually followed Conor's career? If you did you'd be aware that's his hands are no joke, and he is capable of boxing professionally had he chose to. But he chose MMA because he has more than just one skill. Most MMA fighters can't box for s**t, but there are a few who can box at high levels, and Conor is one of them. If he gets dominated that doesn't change anything. Floyd makes tremendous boxers look like they don't belong in there. Those of you just talking s**t are uneducated

It's easy for y'all to be keyboard warriors and talk s**t about fighters who are risking their life in the ring. Something you'd be scared s**tless to do despite the pay check

As someone who is a fan of both boxing and MMA, is not a hater, and respects both Floyd and Conor and have studied their styles immensely. Let me break it down for you.

Floyd has significantly better jab

Conor has better uppercuts (though Floyds are great)

Both have a tremendous straight, Floyd's is more technically sound and faster, but Conor's is much more powerful, both are very accurate, id say that's a tie, but due to the power advantage might give that punch to Conor.

Floyd has much better head movement, much better body shots. I actually think it is more likely that Floyd finishes this fight with a body shot than a shot to the chin due to Conor's wide stance, it will expose his body.

My prediction is Floyd gets a TKO in rd 9, but I don't think he will knock Conor down. Ref will stop fight while Conor is standing. Originally was leaning towards a decision. But I think Conor takes 2 of the first 6 rounds. Then its all Floyd. But I do think Conor has a chance to pull off the upset due to Floyds age and possible rust from lay off, and maybe Floyd will fight more aggressive then usual due to lack of respect which could get him caught. But what makes Floyd great is he sleeps on no one. Respects all opponents. He knows Conor is capable of hurting him if he isint careful.

Both of them are counter fighters, most boxing fans don't realize that about Conor. He strives off his counters he has tremendous timing, accuracy and IQ. But Floyd is much more patient and will force Conor to be the aggressor, resulting in Conor being out his element and getting out classed. Would've much preferred seeing Conor fight Manny. Much better stylistic matchup.

If Conor and Floyd were to fight in a octagon using only hands wearing MMA gloves. Conor would KO him within 2 rds

His purse will be from 75-125 mil. Outside of death there's no scenario where he doesn't win. But if he gets embarrassed yeah people will laugh at him for taking the payday on a fight he shouldn't come close in.

Connor will win ZERO rounds, Mayweather being the showman that he is might let him draw a couple by doing too much dancing and ducking while not throwing many punches. Mayweather's last 7 fights have went the distance against fighters who averaged 30 career knockouts. This is about the worst opponent you could pick for someone making their boxing debut. There is a reason why even highly ranked amateurs fight a half dozen low end club fighters on their way up the ladder. McGregor's MMA experience counts for nothing other than learning to stay focused while enduring pain. He can spar all he wants, he won't be sparring with anyone in Mayweather's class and nothing can simulate a 100% live fight with a top class opponent. This fight will go as Mayweather pleases, who knows if he knocks him out when McGregor runs out of gas, it is stopped on cuts when McGregor is a bloody mess, or it is just the typical lopsided decision for Mayweather. A lot depends on how tough the skin on McGregor's face is, so I won't predict how far the fight will go.
