2016 NBA All Star Weekend

Lol, Lavine winning reminds me of when Josh Hamilton hit like a billion HRs in the HR derby contest a few years back, only for Justin Morneau to win it. Everyone was talking about Hamilton then, and now all eyes are on Gordon even though he 'lost'.

Lavine still put on a hell of a show. I loved Gordons under the legs dunk. But I was more amazed by the alley oop dunk from the free throw line that Lavine did.

Did anyone see the skills challenge? At first it seemed like they were making a sort of bad event even worse until Karl-Anthony Towns was up against Isaiah Thomas in the final and actually won it. Then I realized the All-Star weekend planning committee are geniuses for expanding to include forwards/centers. In the beginning I thought it sucked because the frontcourt guys weren't even trying hard in their own bracket. Turns out they were just barely doing enough to get by against the other big dude. But when you had a 6'11' Center beating out a 5'10" point guard doing a skills challenge that was originally designed for PGs it became pretty damn entertaining. It's just funny I went from thinking "this is so friggin' lame" to "what a dramatic and entertaining climax."

That Gordon dunk. Holy s**t - how was that even possible.

Who gives the f**k about who the "judges" think won the contest. Gordon had the best dunk and it wasn't close. The dude is a freak and the real winner of the contest. Levine is amazing too but Gordon's stuff was f**king nuts. He's a f**king PF

So that alley oop dunk from the free throw line wasn't close? I disagree, and so did the judges, and so did a lot of other people as well. It's personal opinion. Both guys brought it and hopefully they do it again next year.

I really hope both of them are in it again next year. Last night was incredible.

By far the best slam dunk contest in recent memory. That whole show was money. 3 point contest and skills challenge was fun to watch.
I hope Lavine wins next year because no way that short ass Nate Robinson should be the only 3 time winner of the dunk contest
Did know Nash had those type of soccer skills.

So? The All Star game is only here for entertainment, it doesn't mean s**t.
I'd like to see Jerami Grant from the Sixers enter the dunk contest next year. He has crazy hops like Gordon and Lavine
