They'll never instate one. The players want unlimited salaries, and the majority of owners want the freedom to spend whatever they want. Plus a salary cap will only balance the top spenders. If you want better parity, a salary floor would be far more effective.

It's just a shame, bc I like to see teams like the Indians, Orioles, Pirates, be competitive, and it's almost impossible for them to stay competitive over a stretch.

Salary floor is exponentially more important than a salary cap, IMO.

I dont understand the point of having a salary cap in baseball TBH. Of the big 3, baseball is the only sport without one, and EASILY has the most parity out of the 3. Doesnt that say all that needs to be said?

Thats bc of the sport itself. Baseball can be very random like that. There are just too many examples to post them all of teams who've made that playoffs, WS, or even won it all, that had no business of being there.
