Responding to this again because it is just confusing to me. I'm a Cardinals fan and the Cubs are our rivals, but for those who aren't a fan of the teams and don't know, there isn't as much HATE in this specific rivalry. So no, I won't "do something" if the Cubs win.

Of course I'm gonna root against them, but if they win tonight, good for them. Anybody that knows me knows how big of a Cardinals fan I am, and as baseball fan overall. If the Cubs win, it'll be a great moment for the sport. I'll tip my cap, hit up my good friend luv, and move on to NHL/NBA season.

Just isn't as much HATE compared to the LA/SF, BOS/NYY rivalry. Cubs have been bad for a LONG time. They are finally relevant.

Maddon made the right move to keep Lester here in the 8th. The way he is throwing there was just no reason to pull him in the 8th especially with the # of pitches Chapman threw yesterday.

If theyre JUST a Cubs fan, sure. But Chicago sports fans got the Jordan Bulls dynasty, the Blackhawks mini dynasty of recent, and the 85 Bears. I dont feel bad for them at all.

No, im saying that when the Giants hadnt won in their first 52 years in SF, bay area fans didnt cry and whine about being cursed. We had a Niners dynasty, so there wasnt a ton to really complain about. Chicago fans didnt see it that way apparently.
