can we edit this graphics and take M. Jordan out of this equation. why you may ask? well cause he played in a expansion era with all-star assembly of SUPERSTARS like Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant, Bill Cartwright, Ron Harper, Dennis Rodman, Toni Kukoc, L. Longley, S. Kerr, BJ Armstrong to name a few.

kobe isnt even the best laker

imo
thank you my fellow Central Division nemesis JRG oh so kindly for doing that.

I used to have discussions with Pete and James all the time when Lebron was in Cleveland. If they remember - they can back me up. I believe the last 3 years in Cleveland - I've had those discussions with them.

I didn't bring Kobe into this discussion. Someone brought Kobe into this discussion and I merely pointed out that Kobe sat out a few minutes in the 4th against Boston in the NBA finals elimination game. Also, Kobe checkout out with about 5 minutes left against the Suns in game 7 of NBA playoffs when they came back from 3-1 down in a series to win it.

All I'm saying is - Lebron has lost 2 series in 4 years and I understand many were waiting for this moment to come out and criticize him. I didn't always defend him when they lost to Dallas. He deserved a lot of that criticism - though again some of it was totally ridiculous. I did defend him when he lost in Cleveland. I don't think ppl should question his fire or determination in 2014 after what he achieved last two years.

Ya, I vouch for you. You root for LeBron James, wherever he may go. You're consistent in your fanhood, it's just a little different than how most people approach it.

The Lakers were down by 28 with 4:54 left vs. the Suns. It was completely unwinnable. That's not true of the game tonight.

Tonight just goes along with my complaint w/him regarding hooking up w/Wade & Bosh to form a superteam. He just has a different competitive ethos than I do. I can't relate.

You just got me moist.

Say it again, but this time with a bit of lingering bitterness. I promise Kings fans will soon return the favor.

You could send Rondo, Kevin Love, and Carmelo to Miami next year and they would still probably get beat 7 out of 10 times by this particular Spurs team.
7 years! I am more impressed with the Spurs defense. Team has a lot of hustle. I think they spend less energy on offense due to ball movement and spend that energy on defense. They played very solid defense on MIA and Leonard is a big reason that allows them to do that. Green was on of their best defenders a few years ago. They teach all of thier players how to shoot and pass. Not much to teach on defense besides hustle and SA hustles.

Great victory and redemption.

BTW, I was laughing at the early game interview by Lebron about only playing best when their backs are to the wall. Was a little worried when they were up by 14 but felt SA had it in the bag once it was within seven because most of thier misses were wide open looks. Spokes gambled on starting his best scorers. It worked, but the bench is also a part of the team and Bosh, James, and Wade never realized that during the decision.

Oh, and Ginobli is effing badass.

FYI, Parker wasn't much of a factor this series. Patty Mills!!!

So glad that Duncan is getting another ring. Greatest power forward to ever play the game.

More like Center Forward.
Congrats to the spurs

They were the better team, and one of the best teams I have ever witnessed.
Great win for the Spurs. They absolutely dominated the series. I am happy because the spurs have always been considered boring basketball, but many fans woke up and realized its real basketball. Design plays, no one star dominating a series, execute team basketball. Very refreshing in a world of NBA where they usually just clear it out and wait for the superstar to go one on one. I was amazed on how well the Spurs shot the baskeball. It is like they never missed.

One of the beautiful parts of what they do is that they don't run a lot of designed plays. They read & react within a system on most possessions. That's what makes it so hard to defend. It's actually quite similar to the WCO w/Montana in that they're devastatingly effective at reading what the defense is giving them and then taking it.
Their passing and shot making from all five players on the floor reminded me of the 1969 Knicks.
