this team has been a pleasure to watch the last 5 years. Being the final 8 teams, 3 out of 5 years is simply incredible.

The team as a whole seems to just know what they are doing lately in the postseason. Heck Belt had 3 RBIs lol.

man, losing Pagan and Morse was huge, but getting Belt back helped. He was rusty, but his last few games of the season he started hitting. Hope he keeps it up.

I hope he does and the team too. 7 - 0 in playoff elimination games. Unreal.

GARCIA'S GIANTS 2014 POSTSEASON MANIFESTO

Well, we are back again; it's an even year as they say. It's been a long, long season and it has culminated with a divisional round berth against the best team in baseball, the best pitching staff in baseball, the Washington Rubbernecks.

This season has been tough. It's tested our wills to cheer for our favorite team. Going from the best record in baseball to the worst team for practically the entire middle of the season is just.... Gutting.

I'm proud of this team for doing what needed to be done and overcoming a lot of obstacles.

Scutaros Back
Cains bone chips
Morse's oblique
Belt's broken thumb and concussed noggin
Lincecum's dead arm
The lack of bench depth
Some horrendous slumps

But we are in the tournament. Which resulted from a tremendous victory from post season stalwart Madison Bumgarner who pitching a CG elimination game SHO the first time since Sandy Kofax in the World Series. Crawford the only SS in post season history with a grand slam.

This team knows what it takes to win in the playoffs.

A lot of us post in here year round. Almost everyday. This thread is special. It's not to be taken lightly.

What's the point? Some of you say. "I don't dont do that".

Rally caps starting in 2012 by the thread creator Lord Rubberneck and it stuck. #RallyZito was trending WORLDWIDE On Twitter.

What's the point? It has nothing to do with superstition. It has everything to do with comraderie and bringing us together as fans. It's also fun. I mean we have NinerJohn essentially yelling on screen doing something so juvenile it's something only baseball can bring out of you.

It's about forgetting all the b******t arguments and debates. It's about putting every ounce of positive energy in our team and hoping for the best.

It unites us on the board for once IN UNINSON. We are together.

Superstition is for women and children? Thats news to about 95% of MLB players who are HIGHLY superstitious. Former RP Turk Wendell used to brush his teeth in the dugout between innings.

Its not really about the superstition, its about the camaraderie and tradition between the regulars in this thread. Most of the core group of fans in here have been talking Giants year round since before 2010.

Its become part of our playoff tradition to post in rally CAPS during the games.

Clearly he never played baseball, lulz.

I've pretty much stayed out of the Caps thing. I do the Caps because others in here like it and it doesnt hurt to do it. Having said that, I dont think its right to ridicule someone like 4ML who has been a good poster and a fan of the Giants for years because he doesnt do it. And, putting him on TO was just ridiculous. Telling him to GTFO is equally bad.

I agree with Garce that the CAPS are more about comradarie and fun than anything else but this is a free internet site and not something that should be forced on anyone.

I get much more upset about guys who totally gave up on the team and didnt want anything to do with them and now come back as bandwagon fans.

Just my 2 cents.
