That wasn't his only crazy pass either. A couple times he found Bonner down low, but Bonner being Bonner it amounted to nothing.

The pass between Cole's legs to a cutting Parker was the best IMO.

I don't think he was tryin' to actually do that. But yea, he made some great passes in game 1.

If it was anyone else, definitely. But a between-the-legs pass is something Manu seems to do once every ten games or so. Or it seems that way, at least.

I'm not sure how he could have predicted where exactly Cole's legs would be...but yes Ginobili is a great passer who is not scared to take a chance - so it's possible that he tried to do that.

If Kawhi Leonard gets into foul trouble, the Spurs are f**ked.

But, he's a very level-headed player and doesn't do too much to the detriment of the team. I think he will be able to stay out of foul trouble. He knows when he doesn't have good position and won't try to compensate for his lack of position and pick up silly fouls. That's why I really like him as a player. He fits the Spurs model perfectly and takes over for Manu in the future. With Tony having possibly 3-4 great to good years and Leonard coming on, all we need is a big man...

...but then again, who doesn't.

I love him too, and I agree that he's a perfect fit for the Spurs, but he's literally nothing at all like Manu. Manu is the guy who "doesn't" fit the model but is permitted to act outside it. He's the ultimate x-factor and he can't be controlled. Kawhi, on the other hand, is a cog in the machine.

Yeah, totally different style but remember, Tony was not super productive early on. Leonard should be able to match Manu's production and I think Leonard will have much more freedom to attack next year as he polishes his offensive game more. It is obvious he has worked on the 3 and the 15 footer off the dribble and even the post turnaround. I think he will come into his own next year and Pop will trust him more.

Lol he isn't and is never going to be the new Manu, he is nothing like him. He doesn't even play the same position.

Chris Bosh is going off the hook tonight. He will be the difference.

I'll be happy if CB can grab 10-12 rebounds so Lebron doesn't have to pull down 18. He can then focus on his play-making.

IMO, Ray Allen and other 3pt shooters will be the key. They have to knock down the open shots. I know Spurs missed a few open 3s, but Miami missed quite a few too.

...and please, less Chalmers.

I hope MIA tries to play Bosh man on Duncan again. :) You will need to double team Tim and that just makes the Spurs role players and Tony's job easier.

For the Spurs, it is al about defense. Our team offense is better tham MIA.

I think Tiago Splitter is set to be the next Tony Parker. Once Tony retires, Pop is gonna take the cuffs off and let Splitter be the little playmaker he's hiding inside.

He just meant in terms of usage and points, not that he'd switch positions, go bald, and acquire a funny accent.

"Yeah, totally different style"

I thought JC made it clear enough.

I still think 10 years from now, Bosh, Wade, and James will come out.
That was the cheesiest pump up speech ever by Wade.

It was from that lame ass movie Red Tails. It wasn't even original. It was a speech from a movie, lol.
I don't think RC Buford gets enough credit. Popovich gets a lot of the shine, but the Spurs players are incredibly intelligent across the board. Part of that's surely due to Popovich, but even a great coach can't turn dummies into high b-ball IQ guys. The Spurs do a great job of finding them.

Haven't seen that movie but figured the speech was from a movie.
