Wow, what a game. Hope they're all this good.

A few of my observations from last night:
a. spurs play smarter basketball than the heat. See only 4 turnovers, better game plan, didnt shoot well on the road and still won.
b. Bosh cannot gaurd Duncan, at all. Like not even close...
c. Parker is better than he is given credit for, we know that.
d. LeBron had a big game, but he will need to attack and score more if he wants to win this series. He cannot sit back and wait on Bosh.

I was just waiting for d to happen. For a while it seemed like SA couldn't get consecutive stops to close those last 2 points. MIA was playing a very solid game up until a few misses and turnovers in the 4th. If I were a MIA fan, I would be telling myself we lost only because of a brain fart in the last 12. But at the same time, SA was getting open looks throughout the game. MIA defense did well at times, but they were not really rattling SA into forcing shots.

I think if Lebron took over in that 4th, then the game may have been won by MIA. Would like to note that Leonard did a very disciplined job on Lebron. When he posted, Leonard fronted and Duncan and Splitter are quick enough to help...the timing was right.
Watching First Take and they have some guy on there and he says "Lebron is the best player in the game..." and skip bayless gives a half hearted "Well, I dunno. You could argue Tony Parker is...."

f**king homer
i agree with jeff van gundy's statement on bosh's 3 pointers, in the corner its not so bad, but out above the free throw line the guy think he is rasheed wallace.

Chris Bosh needs to chuck up more 3's, IMHO.
so much for the spurs being rusty........ i think the series goes 7

The Spurs were very rusty when it came to their shooting and missing open shots. Especially beyond the arc.

lol yep. He was playing well against Lebron.

But, he's a very level-headed player and doesn't do too much to the detriment of the team. I think he will be able to stay out of foul trouble. He knows when he doesn't have good position and won't try to compensate for his lack of position and pick up silly fouls. That's why I really like him as a player. He fits the Spurs model perfectly and takes over for Manu in the future. With Tony having possibly 3-4 great to good years and Leonard coming on, all we need is a big man...

...but then again, who doesn't.

I love him too, and I agree that he's a perfect fit for the Spurs, but he's literally nothing at all like Manu. Manu is the guy who "doesn't" fit the model but is permitted to act outside it. He's the ultimate x-factor and he can't be controlled. Kawhi, on the other hand, is a cog in the machine.

Yeah, totally different style but remember, Tony was not super productive early on. Leonard should be able to match Manu's production and I think Leonard will have much more freedom to attack next year as he polishes his offensive game more. It is obvious he has worked on the 3 and the 15 footer off the dribble and even the post turnaround. I think he will come into his own next year and Pop will trust him more.

The pass between Cole's legs to a cutting Parker was the best IMO.

I don't think he was tryin' to actually do that. But yea, he made some great passes in game 1.
Too much time between first and second games.
