Thankfully Jay plays above average defense and is good for some clutch hits here and there. Good player, but I'd prefer him as a late inning replacement for his defense and clutch hitting. There is zero jealousy in anything I am saying. I fully understand the Giants cant win every year, and im happy to have seen more than my fair share of winning of late. It just bothers me when fans brag about everybody on their favorite team. I will talk up Buster Posey or Madison Bumgarner all day long, but its because theyre elite, franchise level players who won 2 rings before age 26. But I can be realistic about the team, while still being a hardcore fan.

Cardinals fans seem to have a really hard time separating their fandom from reality. Adam Wainwright is NOT the best SP in baseball. He just isnt. There is no GM in the Majors, including John Mozeliak that would take him over Kershaw. Just admit that while hes your favorite SP in baseball, hes not the best. You can talk about what happened tonight, but Kershaw is the best overall, bar none. I can admit that Madison Bumgarner isnt the best SP in baseball. I think 99% of Giants fans can also admit that. Cards fans seem to have this weird loyalty where they convince themselves of something, purely based on hometown spirit.

I would never text you after your team loses a game, but you texted me last year after the cards went up on the giants 3-1. "Lol giants". One of the most un classy things I've seen. So even if your team wins the World Series this year, which I think they will, it won't erase the fact that we came back and s**t on your hopes and dreams last year and you had to wade through all of us giant fans gloating about that title. All the time knowing your team had an epic collapse that will stay with you the rest of your life.
