Kansas City draws quite a few fans based on their stadium alone. Kauffman Stadium is awesome.

In their defense, that stadium is just an awful place to watch a game. If they had a nice park like the Giants do they would draw many more fans.

I agree somewhat but not totally. My memory tells me that the stick drew over 2 million way back in the day when the Giants were playing well. That venue was much worse for baseball than Oakland...not even close.

James, what did the stick draw back in the day when the Giants played well? I bet more that Oakland, and Candlestick was a s**thole for baseball. Even more than it is a s**thole for football

You guys got AT&T in 2000 right? 1999 yearly attendance was 2,078,399/25,659 a game

This wasnt a comparison between Giants and A's fans. My point was simply that they would draw many more fans if they had a nice venue. Pretty much every single team that has built a new stadium has had a nice spike in attendance.

So, using that logic, the Marlins need to build 4 more stadiums?

Yes, no doubt the park plays a huge difference. Candlestick is an effort to get to for a game. Can you imagine the dedication it took for Giant fans to get out to this place day after day, night after night, when you consider where it is, traffic, weather, access to/from, and everything else? All I am saying is that the Coliseum for A's fans is VERY easy to get to/from. It may not be the greatest venue, but the weather is generally very good, and it has easy in/out access. The A's should draw much better than they do.

LOL Good thing I said"pretty much every team". The Marlins are the exception to any logical rule.

Yep. I watched many many sun filled games at the Stick during the day. Night games... just horrible 90% of the time.
