2013 San Francisco Giants Thread

On a side note, Crawford's defensive play yesterday was a great sight to see. After performing error after error in the beginning of the season, he only has 1 in the last 39 games according to Baggs.

Oh, and apparently Bochy was running shirtless with Pablo during practice yesterday

Bochy was using the DUFF program to make himself look better.

The MLB Network was on the field, according to Baggs. Maybe they did catch it on video ahha

Its only white flag lineup when Lincecum or Zito are pitching.

So will Pablo bat 3rd when he returns?

I think he'll bat 5th and Pence will bat 6th. I strongly doubt Bochy will take Melky out of the 3 hole since he's been tearing the ball off of the cover in that spot.

I agree with you about Melky in the three hole, but I think Bochy may start out having Pablo bat 6th. Not a bad situation either way.

I dont understand moving our best hitters further DOWN the lineup. That is the whole point about that 2 hole discussion is that he will see more ABs over the course of a season.

we should move all our best hitters UP in the order to get them as many ABs as possible.

Melky, Belt, Pablo, Posey, Pence, Pagan, Crawford, Scutaro IMO

even though i know most wont agree.

Someone said it before, I kinda scoffed at it - but looking back and what has happened now.

Ryan Vogelsong is the Ace and our most consistant starter.

I've been sayin it all year long. Vogelsong is the giants most consistent pitcher. And it's not close. Yeah he doesn't go 8 or 9 innings ever. But 6-7 EVERY SINGLE TIME. And only 4 times since he's been back with us has he allowed over 3 runs.

Have to say.. you are right. I still think he would be the 3rd starter in any playoff series but he really has been the best overall.

This is my beef. For the 1st week or so I am okay with Pablo down there. But after that you have to move melky up to atleast 2 and I would keep posey as clean up.

Why have an inferior hitter in front of your best hitters. When melky and pence would fit in the 1-2, or 3 hole.
Gary Brown has been out because he got hit on eye with a bat in BP. CT scan normal, should be back soon. Bochy won't rule out Sept. callup.
