Carlos Beltran Trade Talks Picking Up: Oakland A's Could Use His Bat in Lineup

as a Beltran fantasy owner, i REALLY hope he gets traded somewhere with a good lineup around him. not a place where their offense is so lame the crowd has a designated spot called "Matsui-land" in the right field seats...
The Mets offense and park isn't a whole lot better. If you add in a solid bat like Beltran, everyone in the lineup gets better. Willmingham and Matsui don't feel like they have to carry the team which is really causing them to struggle I think. If we can land someone like him and an upgrade at 3rd we would be a much improved team.
whens the last time Billy Beane traded FOR a big name player midseason?
and hitting around Jose Reyes, David Wright, Ike Davis, and Jason Bay is alot different than the guys in Oakland's lineup. the Mets offense hasnt been bad this year. middle of the pack, but not bad. the A's are bottom 5 range in runs, hr, and team avg. so are the Giants, im not talking crap, im just saying id rather see Beltran traded elsewhere.
Jason Bay is washed up. I had forgotten about Davis though as he was on the DL when I looked at the roster so I'll concede that. Coco Crisp is pretty good, and Barton gets on base a ton so Beltran is still going to get some RBI opportunities. The bottom third of our order is just absolutely wretched though.
Jason Bay is no more washed up than Hideki Matsui, who is arguably your best hitter...
