Barca has finally landed Mascherano - which is a really big signing for them. Terms have been agreed among the clubs (reported by official websites of both teams) and the trade is pending physical.

Reports (rumors) are Milan is offering Barca 40 mil to buy Ibra. Ibra doesn't fit Barca and Barca should consider themselves lucky to get that much after the kind of season Ibra had. He is better fit in Serie A or EPL.

I hope Barca goes out and gets Robinho.

Barca

Funny how Barca just keeps buying and buying without any money. Mascherano's a better fit than Fabregas, I think - gives them more bite in the midfield.

Hopefully Ibra leaves. He was a bad buy from the start.

With Ibra about to leave to Milan, Barca will have more than enough cash. Reported deal is of $40 million and with Ibra making 12 million a season - Barca will suddenly have 52 million in their bank.

Mascherano is a GREAT fit at Barca. Lot of Liverpool fans didn't want him to leave just a week ago before he told the team that he won't play for them. Now, they are all saying he fouled too much and blah blah blah. Mascherano will make Barca very strong on defense and I don't think there is another team that can match them on offense.

The only small weakness I see Barca have is their LB - Dani Alves. He is inconsistent, and they don't have a high quality back-up there either. But, we can be sure of one thing - Barca is not going to allow many goals through the middle.

Liverpool fans have been saying that forever and Barca are about a half billion euros in debt, I dont think they can get that much for Ibra lol

Dude, in EPL - Liverpool is my team. Fans really liked Mascherano and his physical style. Some did think he fouled too much, but majority of them knew that his style of play put fear in opposing strikers. There is a reason why he is considered one of the best defensive mid-fielders in the game today.

Of course Barca is in debt - lot of these clubs are. It's all about the assets - and Barca has one of the best stadium and is considered among the top in net worth.

Btw...Atletico Madrid won the Super Cup by beating Inter 2-0. La Liga is going to be so sick this year.

I hope so, I want to see some more competition outside of the top 2.

Nothing extra-ordinary. Plenty of other guys are right behind him. The year before - he is not even on the list.

Like I said, my fav. team in EPL is Liverpool - I watch them very closely. He was very important for Liverpool's D and we saw what happened to them in the last game when he refused to suit up.

It will still be a top 2 competition, but Atletico Madrid is very impressive. Their strikers are scary good. Sevilla is ok, Valencia lost important pieces over the summer.

But, La Liga is a lot of fun to watch. Fast-paced games and super entertaining. They don't defend as well as other leagues though. League is full of small but quick players.

Roberto got benched. Lol. What a waste of $$$.

Julio Cesar to the rescue!

Soccer sucks.

Can't believe my Hammers of West Ham got beat three to zero by the Uniteds of Manchester - couldn't even punch one into the scorebag, what a bunch of losers and floppers.

Soccer sucks.
