Not a chance. Kobe couldn't throw a pea in the ocean last night, but he was HUGE in other ways, and it's not like Jordan didn't do the same thing in big games. And he never faced a team that was nearly as good defensively as these Celtics are.

No one remembers MJ's 5-19 performance in the Bulls' final game in '96, his 15-35 performance in the final game in '97, or 15-35 in the final game of '98. It's really unbelievable how teflon MJ is and how selective everyone's memories are.

Kobe's shooting was terrible, but he grabbed 15 boards and got to the line 15 times, and hemmed Rondo up for all but one game in this series. The guy found a way to win it, and lead his team to the title. The game's about more than just shooting.

I do enjoy talking with you as well though.

Your right the Pistons and Celtics of the 80's were a joke on defense and so were the Knicks of the 90's. They just let you go in the lane and score. They never even laid a finger on you

I can't post them from this browser, but try to watch an entire quarter of some of the playoff games from from the 80's & 90's, and then re-watch a quarter of either the '08 or '10 Celtics, and then tell me if you think there's a comparison. MJ had more space on his jump shots, easier driving lanes (no hybrid zone defenses like Thibodeau's Amoeba D), and weaker rotations. Just MANY more open shots.

haha i forgot so long ago...but I believe the main thing that changed for me was my defensive stance...staying low, knees bent, hands up or something.
