Wow, Mike Miller too. I hope this team falls on their face.

Just curious, did you feel the same when LA signed malone and Payton to make a similar all star laden team?

That's no comparison. Both players were well past their primes. Plus I'm a Lakers fan, why would I root against my team?

There's the real reason for all the hate in this thread. If LeBron had chosen to go to the Lakers this would be one big slobfest.

Please. You're just looking for a reason to take a shot at me because I'm a Lakers fan. I guess it's not all that convenient that the majority of basketball fans out there also don't like the egotistical mockery of a show that Lebron put on. What does me being a Lakers fan have anything to do with hoping the Heat get humbled this year?

How am I taking a shot at anyone? Most of the posts from laker fans on here sound like they're from Cleveland or something. I;m not the first to point that out either. I find it comical that so many seem to be taking this so seriously and rooting for the guy to fail.

LOL. Alright, way to turn this into a Laker fan thing. I see posts from fans from all teams in this thread.

Irrespective of being a Lakers fan, I find Lebron to exhibit everything wrong in sports. His me first attitude and ego boosting antics are tiresome and I hope that kind of behavior fails for I wouldn't want it's success to give reason to be emulated by our youth. The game of basketball needs more guys like Kevin Durant, who is young, but not an ego maniac.

But what do I know, I'm just a Lakers fan who is clearly blinded by some sort of affliction that effects only Lakers fans.

Doesn't KO-ME ooops I mean Kobe-Iwantedtobetradedgetmesomehelp Bryant play for the Lakers?
Remember Kobe going off on his GM and Center in a Applebees parking lot? Really GTFO laker fans got no room to speak on EGO maniacs.

I never claimed Kobe was perfect. He's certainly had to eat his share of humble pie over his career, but in the end he's matured. One thing I can say about Kobe, is that he's always been about winning. He's never been one to shamelessly self-promote or dance on the sidelines. He's got two rings in the last two years, and you've been the biggest hater on this site, therefore... YOU MAD.

AMP, for all the attention whoring he does, how can you say he isn't about winning??? He is going to someone elses team, taking less money, and is getting exiled from his hometown just to win..Kobe would NOT do that.

I just as big of a laker kobe lover/lebron hater

I'm sure I am one of but many, and why Pete was loving "every minute of this" circus.

Haha. It's moreso that the situation illuminates a larger truth about life that's always gotten under my skin, and that's the value that people place on style, image, & perception over actual substance.

One of my favorite people in the world is my friend Brian. He's a former co-worker of mine, and he's an old, grouchy Jew that is completely lacking in social graces, and pretty much nobody liked him. He's awkward and abrasive in conversation. But if you take the time to get to know him, you realize that he's a more genuine and caring person than most of the people that you know...he just lacks the ability (or more likely, desire) to participate in the social constructs that we're all familiar with. While I don't know 9erReign as well as I know Brian, I have a similar perception of him based on some of the offline conversations that we've had.

And despite being the most knowledgeable insurance person I know, he's never advanced beyond a lead assistant position. I'm positive that's because of his lack of social graces.

LeBron has been very adept at shaping the world's perception of him through both his ability and his use of these social constructs, and his reward for that has been that his indiscretions have largely been overlooked. But he just seriously f**ked up in this respect, and now he will be vilified.

He didn't owe Cleveland anything, and the absurdity of this situation is more indicative of his lack of self awareness than anything malicious. But what can you expect? People have been fawning over him since middle school, and yet we have an expectation that he's supposed to have the same grasp on reality that the rest of us have? Really?

He was sanctified as the "King" through a combination of his abilities and marketing efforts, and now he's being vilified for missteps in the latter. In reality...he's been the same person all along. He's gonna get KILLED by the media in the coming years, and it's because he didn't conform to the same social constructs that he had previously, and that's ridiculous.
Personally, I was waiting for LeBron to look at the camera and say, in the fall, I will be teaming up with Chris Paul in Cleveland.

I honestly thought it was being setup that well, because of CP3's desire to be traded and his connection to Byron Scott.

QFT.

I never said Lebron wasn't concerned with winning. I never even hinted at that. My concern with Lebron is how he carries himself. How he talks about himself in the third person, how he dances during games, how he wears a shirt that says check my stats, how he plans an hour long show to make his decision, etc. Lebron is clearly a shameless self-promoter. That's where my problem rests.

As for Kobe, let's not pretend we know what Kobe would and wouldn't sacrifice to win.
Id rather that shirt than this

K go back to your argument now
Man, you guys sure are fired up about this.

I don't blame him one bit for leaving Cleveland. It's Ohio, for christ's sake.

Methinks Gloria James is about to get a dickin'.

The worst decision made was to air this on ESPN. Not only was he getting villified for that, but now it is X10 on him now that he "stabbed" Cleveland in the back by this. And Cleveland has mud on their face now, and LeBron is now looked at by alot of people as the a*****e.

The response would have been half of this, had his cohorts not talked him into doing this on live tv. That was the dumbest move of his career right there.

I will quote this next June when we get the 3-peat.

this thread is about LeBron being a b***h, not us fearing whatever it is you think that we're fearing.

You realize that'd have been tampering, right?
