My take:
Kudos to LeBron for saying he wants to win rings and then making the decision that gives him the best chance to do that multiple times. Everyone b***hes about athletes being all about money, then when a guy agrees to take FAR less money in order to win he gets crucified?
Everyone saying this is a cop out and lessens his legacy, that's just sour grapes. Maybe he just likes these guys and liked playing with them in China, when they got the chance they jumped on it? Maybe they saw the chance to become like the Celtics in the 50s and 60s and win 6-10 rings, will anyone care about his "decision" 20 years from now?
As far as how he went about it, what does anyone expect, that's how this generation does things: reality shows, twitter, etc. Chastise him for being an attention whore when pretty much EVERYONE in his age bracket and below is exactly the same: facebooking their every move, Iphone apps that tell everyone exactly where they are every minute of the day, tweeting every stupid random though they have, etc.
The Cavs owner is the one who looks petty here. that's like a wife who b***hes about the alcoholic husband who beats her after buying the booze for him each night. Good luck ever attracting any FA with that reaction.
All told, I'm in the minority but had no opinion of LeBron before and that hasn't changed much. I'll neither root for or against him. The only thing I took from this is ha ha ha at the Knicks for thinking "it's New York" would trump anything else. The ultimate would be if they finally do get the #1 pick next year, only to see it go to Houston.

You spout all that bulls**t and yet were trying to pay him 120 million? He is saying what he has to say to try and keep fans on the bandwagon, paint Lebron as the villian who turned his back on his home. Reality is he had 7 years to surround Lebron with a championship-caliber supporting cast and couldn't do it.
You think Lebron didn't want to be the guy to deliver a parade to Cleveland? He looked at that roster and decided he couldn't do it, for all the egomaniac talk going round that must of been a bitter pill to swallow. Gilbert is making a shameless attempt to prevent his ticket sells from going in the toilet and trying to portray Lebron as some kind of despicable human being.
I get disappointment, but get me a f**king break he decided to play basketball in a different city he didn't murder anyone. Though if he did it wouldn't be as big a news story if today as taught me anything.

The Clippers agreed to contracts with two backups on Thursday.
Agent Rob Myers told ESPNLosAngeles.com that Ryan Gomes had agreed to a three-year contract worth $12 million.
Guard Randy Foye will get a two-year deal for about $8 million, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Said Clippers general manager Neil Olshey: "I think Ryan Gomes is an excellent addition to our team. Ryan is a proven, hardnosed veteran presence who is a consistent inside-out scorer with great character who has had a positive impact on every team he has been a part of.
"Randy is a player who has improved throughout his time in the league, and is someone who will provide on-the-ball defense, athleticism, intensity and an impressive ability to score to the group we already have in place."

I must say this Honestly im disappointed in LeBron, I mean he calls himself the King, and he has a boring press conference in front of all those kids like that??? Thats like 35 mins of my life i wont get back. If he was truly the King, when they asked him if he was ready to make his decision public. He should have stood up, pointed to the doorway, and said Ladies and Gentleman Mr. Will Smith... then all the sudden you woulda heard uh uh huhuh Party on the Streets with the King Lebron, all lying on beach till the break of dawn... IM GOING TO MIAMI , en benitos ami ami. At least put on a show for the fans, i mean your ego is already huge at least entertain sheesh.. Coulda had like 4 performers. But started with a Remixed Lebron Version of Miami by Will Smith.
That woulda been classic!

Lebron is such a d*ck for bring the worldwide media into it and then crapping on his old team in front of a worldwide audience and bringing Cleveland's suffering and reactions to the world. Guy deserves to be hated. That was a d*ck move.

Young it was only a dick move cuz we had to wait 35 mins and were not entertained the whole time. U cant tell me it would not have been cool to at least get a Will Smith Return concert.

lmao at the media calling lebron a coward
The media created lebron james. They are the ones that hyped him up coming out of high school. Im sure James didnt as ESPN to send Bill Walton to cover high school games. Yes, James let it go to his head, but so would have a lot of individuals. Hell even ESPN agreed to do that whole s**t yesterday. They could have easily just sent one camera and microphone to wherever he was.
The media created James and now are trying to destroy him.

The NBA has never seen a team this top heavy...
...yet so bottom light.
Having two superstars is great, but role players like Robert Horry, Ron Artest, Steve Kerr take you over the top.
And no, Bosh isn't a superstar.
Yeah. I can sorta understand pairing LeBron and Wade and pursuing a 90s Bulls strategy with Wade as MJ and Lebron as Pippen -- the main difference being, Lebron would be top dog. Bosh's money should instead be spent on solid role players . . . defenders (Bowen, Artest), shooters (Kerr, Horry), rebounders (Rodman), etc.
Exactly. Bosh is a pretty good player, but he never lead his team to anything. His paycheck is gonna screw that team over.
I didn't know building a dynasty screwed over teams

He went where he thinks he can win more championships. If Championships is what he wants, then he absolutely made the right decision.
I don't see the problem really. I think Cleavland fans are acting like jackasses. I mean what did they expect? New York, Chicago, Miami or Cleavland. I would think if you polled 100 Americans, not from any of those cities, and asked them if they HAD to choose one of those cities to live in Cleavland would get ZERO votes. Hell include some people from Cleavland, that city would STILL receive no votes lol.......

One of them will be traded in 2 years when the Heat are desperate for cap space.
