They need to replace this with a 1-on-1 tournament with all PGs and wings.
1) LeBron James vs. 8) Brandon Roy
4) Dwyane Wade vs. 5) Chris Paul
2) Kobe Bryant vs. 7) Monta Ellis
3) Carmelo Anthony vs. 6) Kevin Durant

After watching this vid
dunks in the nba dunk contest seem lame. The NBA no longer has the best dunkers. its like trying to enjoy nfl europe or mls knowing its second rate quality.

Where the hell is LeBron?
And I'm tired of seeing Nasty Nate up in this! Damn!
You know if LeBron enters, he could do a layup and he'll be given a 50.
It won't be a contest.

The dunk contest is used to promote up and comers, now. Not to showcase the superstars. That's what the all star game is for. I'm all for getting the new young stars a chance to shine. Guys like Lebron need to shut up and let these kids get a chance to make a name for themselves. And enough of Nate Robinson, already.

I was thinking something like that. Or a 2 on 2 tournament would be fun.

I'm sure he has plenty of people to lean on for guidance on creativity. Former Dunk Champ Kobe being one.

This is sorta like my idea for a primetime event in between seasons. Like what they use to do with Tiger and his battle at little big horn or whatever they use to do.
But my idea was a few years ago when Vince Carter and Tmac was relevant.
Wade
James
Tmac
Melo
Kobe
Vince
All going one on one! Maybe some 2's or 3's. Or some Horse or 33. That would have been awesome.
My lineup now would probably include
Wade
James
Melo
Kobe
Durant
No idea who my sixth would be. Maybe Joe Johnson, Pierce,Paul or maybe Roy. Or just keep it to the top 4.

If there was any other guard in the East who was popular enough to get close to Iverson in votes, then the NBA would have manipulated it so that Iverson didn't start.
Just like the NBA did with McGrady and Nash. Because you KNOW that TMac won that vote regardless of what is reported lol.
But Iverson was ahead by 200,000 votes on Vince Carter, Ray Allen, Derrick Rose, Rondo, Joe Johnson, etc. NBA couldn't manipulate the vote.

It's all good. Allen Iverson will bow out and Joe Johnson will start. Mark my words.
Iverson respects the honor and knows that he doesn't deserve it.
