Monta Ellis was hurt in 2008-2009, which is why he's playing so few minutes apparently.

Ya I know. Plus, Jack Sikma 5 pts in 27 minutes? The guy was a scoring machine and there would have been no PF on the Warriors who would ever have stopped him.

Jack Sikma was a scoring machine? What?

I have no problem with that simulation. I think it makes perfect sense. David Thompson and Rick Barry would annihilate the Warriors. The only conceivable chance the Warirors would have in this game would be if Crawford and Jackson got hot from three point land (which is what kept them in the game). The Warriors get destroyed on the glass.

The only thing is.....George Mikan would not be running and up down the floor in a 135-121 high scoring game, he would be too busy wheezing.

LOL OK perhaps a stretch but he did average 20 a game. He would have had a field day against the Warriors team with Brandon Wright and Anthony Randolph at PF. That was my point. Kind of think What IF is whacked.

Dude. The W's would have as much chance of winning that game as the Nets beating the Lakers in a best of 7 championship. In other words.. it could never happen.

I never said the Warriors would win. I said that the Warriors making 13/21 from the three point line is what kept them in the game, which makes sense. Teams that make 13/21 from 3 point land don't lose by 50 points.

I simulated that game 3 more times, and the Grizzlies won by scores of 120-84, 115-95, 126-93

I know its just a simulation. I just saw some strange things. Dennis Johnson and Gus Williams were awesome defensive players so doubtful that Crawford would light it up and they certainly would not score 44 in a quarter. Also, Mikan gets more assists than DJ and Williams combined?? Seems pretty crazy to me.

Still... will be interesting to see how it plays out but this example does seem really off base.
Can I please have Greg Poppovich to coach my team? He'd fit right in(not sure if he's taken or not), defense and post play emphasized on a team that has DRob and Dumars and Frazier

Sorry he called him first. We're not going by draft order because then it would be confusing.

Haha lets randomly shout out who picks their coaches on a saturday night. Not confusing at all.
It doesnt really matter with coaches, WIS doesnt factor them in. That being said, I guess I will stick with Sloan...

Sorry that's BS. Draft order would be far less confusing than a bunch of people shouting their preferences (on a Saturday night, no less, when people should be out socializing). Now you'll have to go through responses and correct people who try to select Riley, Jackson, AJ (assuming pants uses him as coach).

I should get first crack at coach since I had the last pick in the first and last rounds. In which case I'll take Pop.

I'll take Avery Johnson if pants doesn't use him as coach.

I know you were complaining about a 15 round draft, since you picked last in that round too, but whatifsports only uses 12 players, so the last three rounds aren't really relevant.

Also, on the coaching issue....does the coach really matter that much to you?

I just didn't want to have to wait another week and go through the motions of drafting coaches.

But if it matters that much to you, then you can have Popovich.

As if NBA coaches really matter. The NBA is a player's league.
