All TIME NBA MOCK DRAFT

BTW, having an odd number of rounds is BS. I got the last pick of the first round AND Mr. Irrelevant!

But you get the first coach!

Haven't people already been selecting coaches?

Yeah, I'm not sure how that's going to work. Do they just pass in the coach round?

SF - Mike Dunleavy

I have Jerry Sloan, but I selected him as a player and not a coach,

btw WIS could care less about a coach....so do we really need them?

Ok, now here's the next part. I've gone through my team and selected the best years for each of the players, using basketball reference and http://www.whatifsports.com/nba-l/historical_teams.asp

Warriors (crzy)
PG- Penny Hardaway 95-96 Magic
SG- Dwyane Wade 08-09 Heat
SF- Latrell Sprewell 93-94 Warriors
PF- Arvydas Sabonis 95-96 Blazers
C- Shaquille O'Neal 99-00 Lakers
Bench- Marques Johnson 77-78 Bucks
Bench- World B. Free 78-79 Clippers
Bench- Maurice Stokes 55-56 Royals
Bench- Truck Robinson 77-78 Jazz
Bench- Willie Naulls 59-60 Knicks
Bench- Stephen Jackson 08-09 Warriors
Bench- Rick Mahorn 89-90 76ers
------------------------------------------------------------

DNP- Cliff Hagan 57-58 Hawks
DNP- Gary Grant 89-90 Clippers
DNP- Pervis Ellison 91-92 Bullets

I actually started messing around with the simulator, and it turns out I'm stupid, this draft was 3 rounds too long, because it only simulates a 12 man rotation

So I'm assigning DNP's to all the 13th round - 15th round, unless you want to replace one of the first 12 players you took with once of the last three you drafted.

^^ I'm going to do one of these for every team since whatifsports needs you to pick one season for each player, and also asks for a "projected" depth chart where you assign minutes at each position to the players on your team.

If you want to change your depth chart, change your 12 man rotation, or change the season for any one of your players let me know.

OK here are the adjustments:
1) Replace Prince with PhilChenier
2) Put John Drew at SF
3) Put Phil Chenier at SG
4) Minutes for Barry have to be at SF - he never played SG

Sweet, thanks for the quick response. I will put all of these minute breakdowns on the first post.
Question. If I want to take Phil Jackson out of my lineup would that mean I would lose the right to have him as coach? Just curious.

No. You can have players be coaches as well.

In order to give people the understanding of how this sim works, let's take the Grizzlies team above with the depth chart that NinerJohn has outlined and simulate them against the 2008-2009 Golden State Warriors (real life).

Since we have all 30 teams, I'm going to set this up like a league with a shorter regular season (maybe 20 games).

Then the top 16 teams make the playoffs like in real life. And then we can do the playoffs in the Best of 7 formats.
Oh I can't wait to see who wins, finally we get to see this thing end

then maybe we can start up a new one!!!!!
