Let this serve as the official World Series thread. I will update it as this series goes on.

The Yankees fans are already talking smack. "Philly's best known athlete is Rocky Balboa, and he's fitional." - (NY Post) They also called Phillies fans "second rate."

Game 1: C.C. Sabathia vs. Cliff Lee W (1-0) CG, 0 ER, 10K's

Game 2: A.J. Burnett vs. Pedro Martinez

Thank god you clarified this was the MLB World Series thread. I was thinking it was the World Series of Poker thread until I saw the MLB.

I guarantee we did better than your team last year!

And yeah, it was a great job. He's still a great pitcher, and the reason a super hot Brewers team made the post season last year. And this year Cliff Lee, with the INDIANS shut down the Yankees 10-2 in their home opener.

So, they get beat by Lee, we beat CC. I'l take my chances. Plus we took 2 of 3 from them head to head this year WITHOUT Lee.

Repeat here we come!
