Dubs don't get the first pick. The Clips get the first pick, and this kid's game goes to s**t.

Bye-bye ACL.
Allen Iverson granted "personal leave of absence" from Grizzlies

There are rumblings that he's basically quitting. Fitting end to the career of one of the most overrated players ever if that's the case.

I love that he insists no one told him the Grizzlies would be rebuilding... Numbnuts, the team won 24 games last season and is chock full of rookies, 1, 2 and 3 year players. What in the hell did you think was going on in Memphis?

nah i don't think he's overrated, yeah he didn't get a ring but when he was on the court he did work. He's averaged like 28 pts in his career. Not many players in the league plays as hard as him. He's a rare player in my opinion.

Oh, he could definitely score. But overall, he wasn't nearly the player he was made out to be. Poor defender, poor leader, poor at fitting into the context of an offense that could win. Scoring is the most overrated part of the game, IMO, and in almost every other aspect (aside from jumping passing lanes) he was average or worse.

There's a reason that each of his teams were either the same or better once he left.

I don't think Allen is overrated at all. I'm a huge Iverson fan, but it's really hard to defend him right now.

Gotcha. To each their own, but I just don't see Iverson as being overrated. Thats just me though. If he can get passed this Memphis garbage theres not much holding him back from being in the HOF IMO.

I'm with you. Iverson is a 150% lock for the Hall of Fame. He is the greatest player in NBA history under 6 feet.
