Id actually think Dougie goes with Griess and depending on how the coaching staff feels with stalock as the backup. Griess looks ok when he starts, but when he comes in for cleanup duty not so much. With some more coaching he should be good to go

If you go with Griess and re-invest in some solid defense-men the sharks will be ok.

nabby's downfall started with the debacle against the Canadian olympic team. i even had a conversation with my brother whom is a diehard sharkie that if the sharks were to get to the big dance Nabby had to quit allowing b.s goals. look what happened. as a blackhawk fan I did not see a this series ending so quickly. figured this was to go 6 games.

Heatley better be traded this summer. We better re-sign Marleau also.
It's Sabean's fault.

Greiss isn't going to get the Sharks very far if he's their #1 goalie. You'd be better off signing a retread...

Give Greiss a chance. I dont think this team will be a dominant force next year.

I'd rather have Griess and Stalock compete. Howard and Niemi were both rookies, right? .. Look where they got. I wouldn't be surprised if Henrik Karlsson gets a shot.

Still, I want someone experienced if we really want the cup. Marleau has to stay. He scored all but what, one of our goals vs. Chicago? If we face them next year.. we need someone who can beat them.

I'm sorry but I never want to see Wallin again. He made mistakes all series. And we traded for this? NO points from him. All he can do is hit from time to time.

Demers will get even better. Huskins? Who knows. I think Blake retires.. That leaves us with starting caliber guys in: Demers, Vlasic, Boyle, Murray, Huskins (barely).

We really could use two more speedy defensemen who can shoot, but are physical. But I don't see many more prospects being ready soon. We'll need to trade.

Petrecki still doesn't seem to be there. Joslin isn't good enough. Sigh...

All this talk to get rid of Heatly is absolutely ridiculous. I agree 100% that he could have performed MUCH better than he did this playoffs but he is wayyyy too talented to be let go in one season.

I love Nabby but this has got to be the end of the road for him. It's time to move on. Blake will probably retire...We have to look into trades.

Man this season had promise. He had better grit than last season but not enough talent with that grit to get us over the hump...
Going back to Cali, Cali, Cali
Going back to Cali............ I don't think so!

Yeah, I don't know. I would take a trade IF the offer was right though. Can we afford to keep Heatley?

Right now, the players I really want to keep are:

Thornton, Marleau, Heatley
Seto, Pavs, Clowe
Couture, Malhotra, Mitchell
Nichol, McGinn

Boyle, Murray, Vlasic, Demers

That's 15, with two open D spots and one O spot. I hope Nichol and Malhotra stay but aren't they only on one-year deals? I'm not sure they will.

This is just.. really tough.. There really aren't any players on offense that I dislike. It's really just the defense that I think frustrates me. Not enough speed and extra offensive ability from defensemen. Boyle is the best at it, and Demers is okay. But Huskins is inconsistent and Wallin is washed up.
BTW - If we had signed Chris Pronger like the rumors were suggesting last off season, we easily win the cup this year.

Worst decision this front office has made IMO. Pronger is legitmately one of the best players in hockey, should have brought him in.
