CHA?
Really should any team follow the same drafting philosophy from an org that drafted Morrison as the 3rd pick overall in the draft over the likes of a Roy?

haha touche.
But Conley, despite his improvement, isn't good enough that the Grizzlies would pass on a point guard like Rubio.

I don't know, MEM has potentially a very good trio at the 1-2-3 positions with Conley-Mayo-Gay, if they sign Gay long term.
What they lack is a legit starting big man, Marc, Paul's little bro could be great big man to come off the bench but is he starter material...and you got two in Thabeet and Hill who could be top 5 picks in this draft.

The Grizzlies are more set at center than they are at point guard. Marc Gasol had a very good rookie season, IMO. He had several monster games. I'd rather have Gasol than Jordan Hill.
The Grizzlies need to pair up Blake Griffin with Marc Gasol. That would be a great combo.

A good PF for Memphis would be Pau Gasol....oh wait.
I'm still wondering what Sac will do if we land at #3 or #4. If it's not Griffin, I doubt we draft a big there. I think someone like Flynn, Evans, Jennings or Lawson could fly up the board as the draft approaches.
Petrie's heading to Spain to see Rubio play in the next few days.
Maybe Toronto targets GSW's pick (w/players) if they decide to deal Bosh. That would give them two top 10 picks.
I'm also a Maynor fan. I think this draft is really deep at the PG/combo guard.

Keep reading these Bosh to GS rumors, is there any validity to them or is this another KG type thinking here locally like it was back June-July of 07 right after the draft?
I mean what would you have to give up to land Bosh, maybe not as much since he's a FA after the 2009-10 season.
If you're the W's, I think you'd trade anybody other than Randolph to land Bosh although how likely is it that he'll then sign a long term deal.
Would you trade lets say a packaged deal of Wright-Maggette-Belinelli and the pick for Bosh and other filler not knowing whether it's a one and done year for Bosh who'll get a ton of money and probably the team of his choice if he becomes a FA.

Those KG rumors were valid. Boston simply outbid us for Garnett. We didn't have anything that could match Al Jefferson.
And I think the package for Chris Bosh would be something like this...
Andris Biedrins
Brandan Wright
7th pick
for
Chris Bosh (extended)

So the roster depth chart would be what...
PG-Ellis, Watson, Belinelli
SG-Jackson, Morrow
SF-Randolph, Buke
PF-Bosh, Maggette(6th man)
C-Turiaf
...with Crawford's status in limbo.
And leaves the W's lacking big man depth although with Nellie, he would probably play Maggette at the 4 at times.
Although you gotta think TOR would ask for Randolph over Wright and if the W's do decide to deal Randolph especially if they don't extend Bosh which I don't think it's a given it'll happen unless they agree upon it happening before the deal went thru, there is gonna be a lot of pissed off W's fans here locally who see Randolph as the future.

Toronto can ask all they want, no way we're giving up Anthony Randolph. That package of Biedrins, Wright, and 7th pick is more than fair.
And I think the depth chart would likely be
PG-Ellis, Watson,
SG-Morrow, Maggette, Belinelli
SF-Jackson, Azubuike
PF-Randolph
C-Bosh, Turiaf
Corey Maggette would come off the bench as the 6th man and he'd be on the trading block. Maggette came off the bench pretty much every game in the 2nd half of the season last year.
And we'd start Turiaf at center if the matchup called for it.
I think that team can win 45-48 games.

Chad Ford put TWill on blast

That's just harsh and I don't agree with any of it.

Quote:
Jimmy: (Kentucky): Where do you see Terrence Williams being drafted?
SportsNation Chad Ford: Hardest guy in the draft to predict. A top 5 talent with NBDL decision making skills. I wouldn't be shocked if he went in the lottery and wouldn't be shocked if he slipped into the early second. It's tough to explain how someone with so many tools averaged 12 ppg for Rick Pitino in 4 years of college ball and never really got better.
