Where you at Sundevil?

I was at the game.

ASU is just a bad team this year, no beating around the bush on that.

I have to agree. It's not like Cal blew em out of the water. I was happy with our D though. That said, I think we just got out-sucked by ASU. As far as wins go, this wasn't very satisfying. Longshore looked ok out of the gate but our offense is still pretty much a stinker.

yeah, I was at the game with Cal fans and we all agreed, ASU just sucked more rather then a great game by Cal. Cal's D was good, but our O-line may be the worst in college.

Longshore had a bad game, Cal should have won by a lot more.

This was a pretty good game by Longshore standards.

But I do agree, this game could have been a blow-out. The offense needed to keep drives alive and they did not. Granted Cal was without its best offensive player though, in Javid Best, but I feel they had chances where they didnt execute properly. That was my biggest concern, not closing a team out.

We didn't close ASU out AT ALL! We went 3 and out on our last like 5 drives from 12 minutes left in the 4th to 3 minutes left in the 4th, and we relied on our defense to make the stop each time. We were lucky enough to hold on to such a big lead, let alone the win.

The fact of the matter is, when the 4th quarter struck, so did the offensive pussiness. Tedford called one pass play in like 10 minutes, and it showed. Vereen was getting 2 yards per carry and that was it. Great job at the end by the defense....the offense? That was pitiful.

Tedford is ultra-conservative when leading and that really p**ses me off.

tedford is not calling the plays this year.

The o-coordinator is, he happens to be Frank Cignetti, the former 49ers qb coach. I wonder where he learned that mentality from.

With Nate Longshore behind center, I guess I don't blame them for calling it conservative. His first quarter performance was like found many for Cal. They knew better than any that it would not last. That's the problem with Nate as our QB. Keep pushin' it and your killer instinct will eventually give the other team a pick 6. It's inevitable with the guy if you're not careful. Thing is, were gonna need a killer instinct one of these games and it's not something you can just turn on and off. We need Riley to round back into form so this pussified playcalling can stop...cuz it's gonna come back and bite us.
Boy Arizona really scares me, they havent really played any great teams, but they have a really good defense and confidence.

I think Riley will play alot on that game. We need to win that game to win the Pac-10.
We are tied for 1st in the Pac-10!!!!! Arizona has been dominant in their wins except when they lost to New Mexico. They are a very scrappy team and will definitely give Cal a good game. Can't wait till my boy JB gets back on the field and shows Arizona who is top dog in the Pac-10
