Ok, before the Ward, Burks, & McCloud deals, the 49ers are under by $7,972,615, I should have Ward & Burks details later today, all I know is Ward's deal is backloaded cap wise.

AB how much will it cost to pay our draft picks as it stands with no trades?

Overall, about $7.7M with the current 9 picks, as for top 51, the first 4 picks as of now would count(2nd, 3rd, 3rd, & 4th), but it will only take like $600K in cap room, since they'll replace players making X amount, it could be $600K up to $1M or so.

Thanks AB
They got to be under water by now. That's more than $8 million. How are they affording this?

Juay cut the turd and be done

Why does it have to be a "turd" ? Jimmy is/was a class act for the org. Was/is he limited and frustrating a lot of times ? Yes. Should the Niners move on ? Yes. But I don't see what he has done to deserve to be called a turd.

It's because he is some joke posting on a message board that can't do 1% of what Jimmy can do.. this fan base doesn't deserve athletes like this and seems like the reason a lot of big names don't sign here..

The icing on the cake will be if Jimmy takes the Saints to the playoffs and their hero Trey Lance doesn't get the niners in
salary cap means nothing in todays NFL. all this restructuring, extending, resigning blah blah blah stuff just proves teams can do whatever they want. theres so many ways to manipulate the cap that the limit really means nothing anymore. teams can do whatever they want. look at what GB an the saints did this offseason. if thats possible anythings possible. the niners could do the same, kick the money down the road for years. but they have a different strategy.

Yep, no more than the minimum.
AB, are we hindered by Jimmy G's contract because he's still on the team vs if we had already traded him?

Yes. If he were gone the niners would have whatever his cap figure was available to use on FA's. I doubt they would've spent big time but it sure would've helped them reel in Chandler jones or maybe a vet o lineman along with the guys they brought in.

Doubt it. They can talk to anyone they want. And can cut him anytime they want. If they really wanted someone they would just cut him first.

Yep, they're not hindered by it, if need be they could redo Trent's deal, or extend Ward, a lot of top FAs are unsigned due to the Watson thing taking this long, now thinks should go quickly, I hope.
