heck AB, i was hoping Verrett wouldn't draw a big contract because of his injury history. Maybe Hyder too, because of it being one season.

I think the cap for Verrett has to be $6M a yr, Hyder I'm unsure, Shaq Lawson I think got $10M a yr after not being that great previously, so $8M for Hyder is possible, but I can see Hyder taking less for more GTD money, same for Verrett.

Love the Curtis Samuel signing. Very underrated talent who could go off here.
I wonder if K'waun and Desmond King would have to compete since they play the same position.
At the end of the day it's all about players willing to take those deals. If the stupid Jets and Mr Clean offer them more they are gone but they'll never win anything.
If everything goes like you stated on your article the team can go BPA with their first 3 rounds.

Yeah I did on those 5yr deals, Juice more realistically would be a 4yr deal, I think Trent will sign a 5yr deal, Verrett and Hyder more likely 3yr deals, K'Waun either 3 or 4yr deals. Mack at 2yrs I think would be a good thing, Samuel I think will want a long term deal, so 4-5 yr deal, as for King, idk if he'd have to compete with K'Waun, maybe King could play outside CB opposite of Verrett, or if the 49ers end up not re-signing K'Waun, you have Verrett, King & Moseley as your top 3 CBs, then you draft 1 or 2 CBs.

Well. You never have enough CB, right? I like the approach you present here.
The market will be loaded with CB and pass rushers with a better history than Verrett and Hyder. I don't see neither of them drawing huge deals. The ones presented here would be fair for both of them.
Hyder only performs well with Kokurek and Verrett has that nasty injury history.
I checked your roster again and the only big hole I see is RG before the draft.

I checked your roster again and the only big hole I see is RG before the draft.

Yeah RG would be an issue, unless they plan on having Brunskill at RG.

I would have these as our draft needs, in no order.

QB - Only if they unload Jimmy, but I doubt they do, I don't see a Watson trade happening

WR - Even with Deebo, Aiyuk, and Samuel, I would target a 4th WR, I also have hope for Hurd, I think he's on the roster in 2021, but it's a make or break year. Devonta Smith could be an option at 12 if he's there, or the LSU WR(I forget his name).

TE - Kyle Pitts intrigues me at 12, I like the idea of a two headed monster at TE, cause Dwelley & Woerner aren't known as pass catchers, I'd keep 4 TEs on the 53, so I think they take a TE if they don't want to bring Reed back.

LT - Only if for some unknown reason Trent Williams chooses someone over us, which I don't see happening.

IOL - They need to draft someone to learn behind Mack if we get him, and we need to add more depth, a potential starting RG down the road.

EDGE - We need someone opposite Bosa when we have Kinlaw & Armstead inside.

IDL - We need to get a better backup 3T behind Kinlaw, cause Street isn't the answer, if we are able to bring back Jones, plus have Givens & Daniels on the roster, then this a moot point, cause I'd feel fine with Kinlaw, Jones, Givens & Daniels as the IDL. It will also depend on what else happens on the DL, AA, Bosa are locks, then we have no clue what happens with Dee, best case scenario is a pay cut, if it's true he may not be ready for 2021, if that's the case, I wouldn't redo his deal, unless that's the last option in order to keep our guys.

CB - We will need at least 1, if we lose K'Waun and/or Verrett, then we need 2, or sign 1 in FA & Draft 1.

FS - I'd draft a FS in the late rounds to compete for the backup spot behind Ward.
Samuel is pricey. I dont have much hope for Hurd, but I'd rather keep the other guys you listed, plus Mack and King. And I'm hoping they pick up some OL on day 2 and early day 3.

Yeah he definitely could be pricey, but he'd be another Deebo like player, and even Aiyuk, seems that's what Kyle likes at WR, which is why the Hurd pick was weird, people were calling him a Big Slot WR, I know he played RB when he entered college at Tennessee, and converted to WR at Baylor, I hope he can turn it around.

Also not related to your post, I've been told by my league source that the 2021 NFL Cap will likely not be higher than $185M, so I'm gonna use that as my cap projection for now, until they announce the cap sometime in March.

If the roster is like the one you presented before the draft, they can pretty much go BPA with #12. So checking the top 12 talents this year.
No chance on Lawrence, Wilson, Fields or Sewell. Could they trade up for Wilson or Fields? Maybe.
Trey Lance would make sense to sit behind Jimmy for a year.
Kyle Pitts next to George would make a great duo
Rashawn Slater to start at RG and / or compete with Mike for RT. Perhaps he'd pull an Orlando Brown if he wants to play LT, but Trent Williams would be on his way out by then.
Devonta Smith or Chase would be unbelieavable next to Aiyuk, Deebo and Curtis. You'd have solid and depth WR room for at least 2 years something that hasn't existed in this team since forever.
Farley or Surtain would be great as well since this team hasn't picked a CB in the first round since... who the hell knows.
Parson just reminds me of the Reuben Foster fiasco and it's not a big need, so no thanks.

Great breakdown on the article and great job with this breakdown!!! We appreciate your insight and thoughtful description of the current cap situation. Not that you need my support, but you have it!

great sign that they will have the TV rights all figured out before the cap is set! This might actually push the cap up more in 2021 with owners knowing they have a contract in place for the next 10 yrs (okay with taking some future cash to replenish the cap a little this yr).

like I said, new future caps are gonna go wild...guys like Trent aren't going anywhere.

That doesn't make sense though.... I thought the NFL was losing soooooo many viewers lol

Losing domestic viewers may be offset by possible foreign viewer growth. i.e. Mexico, Canada, Europe, and possibly Asia?

Are we not going to try and resign Hyder? Is money that tight that we can't afford 6-7 mil for him? Or do you see some teams offering more? Bc if we can get Hyder back, we don't have to use a top pick on another pass rusher. Especially if Ford fails his physical and we can't cut him.

I think Hyder comes back, I'd still like to see the team draft someone to develop, I think Hyder is like 30. I'm hoping either Dee passes a physical or takes a pay cut. I have Hyder at $8M a yr, but I can see someone willing to pay more, but I think Hyder would like to stay with Kris Kocurek.
