how much would this save?

4.5mil I think assuming it's not designated post June 1, which it probably won't be.

Can't be June 1 designation if he's cut before the league year begins.
So after we cut Richburg right when the new league year starts in March would we have like 23 million in cap space? I heard we could also extend our LG Tomlinson and create like 4 million in cap space that's what David Lombardi was saying.

Have now heard from a few different folks the 2021 NFL salary cap should ultimately end up in the $185-$188M range TV deals probably still have to be finalized, but growing optimism it may only drop about ~$10M from 2020's $198.2M number, not close to $20M as previously expected
i am more curious to see how the new TV deals are going to impact the 2023 cap, will it be a 50% explosion similar to the other sports leagues? wouldnt it be smart then to just start loading up on talent and pushing money into that Cap year?

From this guy Brad Spielberger Salary Cap Analyst @PFF. Contributor http://OverTheCap.com, NFL Cap & Contracts. Former @VikingsLegal Intern. I guess he has heard from a few people around the league so we will just have wait and see what happens. Someone told him it could get to 190 but we will see.

Oh wow, that'd be awesome if it only drops less than $10M.

Yeah it would be good for everybody involved with the NFL hopefully it happens. Brad Spielberger was also saying he thinks it's largely the new TV deals nearing a conclusion. Owners more willing to borrow from future years as a result.
If it is already being reported that Richburg is going to be cut, then I would assume we have either Mack or Kinsley in mind to take over the C spot for us, most likely Mack due to his familiarity with K. Shanahans system, and him talking about liking our system. If Mack signs for how ever much we save by cutting Richburg, then that is a win.

I think Alex Mack signs with us day 1 of FA, likely a 1 or 2 yr deal worth $4M a yr.
Updated my 2021 Offseason Plan, I didn't have them signing any FAs, but I have listed some that I think they could look into, I think Mack goes to SF, I hope we're in on Desmond King, and Curtis Samuel.

I updated it one last time, have them re-signing Trent, Juice, Hyder, K'Waun, Verrett, Moseley, Harris, & Dwelley to multi year deals, extending Warner, Moore, Tomlinson(saves $2.74M), and signing free agents Alex Mack, Curtis Samuel, and Desmond King.

This of course will depend on what happens with Dee, if he takes a pay cut, significant one, this is doable, if he doesn't, then they would need to restructure Armstead's deal, by declining the $7.5M option bonus(which prorates at $1.5M over 5yrs), the 49ers would gain $10.46M, they'd only save $4.46M, they can also save $5.42M in cap room. This all could be mute if the cap comes in closer to $190M.
There's also conflicting reports on what Moseley is, a RFA or ERFA, 49ers.com has him listed as a ERFA, which would mean just a $850K tender, meaning he wouldn't be extended, if it's RFA, he gets the 2nd rd tender IMO, and signed long term.
Jimmy Ward is the sixth highest paid player on the team?

edit: he has the 5th highest cap number.

I like your plan. imo you went happy with all those 5 years deals.
Love the Curtis Samuel signing. Very underrated talent who could go off here.
I wonder if K'waun and Desmond King would have to compete since they play the same position.
At the end of the day it's all about players willing to take those deals. If the stupid Jets and Mr Clean offer them more they are gone but they'll never win anything.
If everything goes like you stated on your article the team can go BPA with their first 3 rounds.
