This team needs a corner bad. Our three outside corners are verrett, Mosley, and johnson. Johnson would likely see substantial playing time, and expecting a rookie to contribute day one is a crapshoot.

We CANNOT allow his contract to mature and be forced to franchise him, and risk creating bad blood. He's an UFA in 2022. We gotta get him extended. He HAS to be a priority.

Alright time to talk about 2022 post trade up for #3, the 49ers have 23 players signed for 2022, on a $203M cap, they'd have $29,628,450, add in $9.15M when Richburg retires, then we're at $38,778,450, take away players 23-51 it's down to $18,333,450(29 players making $705K)

Next up is the 2021 draft class, & what they'll count against the 2022 cap, with the 9 picks, it'd be $16,031,891, which would mean just $2,301,559 in cap room, they'd save $25.6M by trading/cutting Jimmy, $24.895M after top 51, that gives the 49ers $27,196,559 in cap room.

Next up is potential restructures they'd save $10.424M by redoing AA, & $8.332M by redoing Kittle, which would give the 49ers $45,952,559 in cap room, before a Warner extension, they'd also save $7.5M($6.795M after top 51) by cutting Ward, cap room is now $52,747,559.

Now, 3 49ers could have their base salaries escalate due to the PPE(Proven Performance Escalator), Deebo, Dre, & Wishnowsky, which would be around $2.348M for Deebo & Wish, while being $2.598M for Dre, that would leave the 49ers at $42,443,199 in cap room, with not many key FAs.

So the 49ers don't have many big named unsigned FAs outside of Warner, while guys on 1yr prove it deals like K'Waun, Verrett, Jones, & Tartt could be brought back if they work out, others like Tomlinson & McGlinchey could be retained, same for Moore,

Do we really still have over $15 million? We need someone to kick Lynch and Shanahan in the ass and sign another cb. If not I can't wait to see Donte Johnson

Ya. Thats what we should be doing with this money. 5 mil will be needed for rookies. Use the rest to extend Fred and do it so that his contract isn't back loaded. Having so many contracts back loaded can come back and hurt us.

I did a mock 2021 roster excel sheet, we'd be at around $10M for in season moves, so honestly unless they're minimum deals, don't expect any signings. And this doesn't include whatever we use to extend Warner, say $3M, then we're down to $7M for in season, we could redo or extend Laken, save $2.808M, but still at or around $10M max.

idk, I think Kyle stays with his ways, keeps 3QBs, 4 RBs, Juice, 6 WRs, 4 TEs and 8 OL, we kept 9 DL to open 2020, if any other DL were to make it I'd keep Darrion Daniels, and if Givens somehow gets jail time or suspended, then Daniels makes it as Kerr can play NT, 3T, and rush from DE. CB wise, we kept 9 DBs to start 2020, ended up with 10(6 CBs and 4 Safeties), I'm torn on Tavon Wilson, he can play FS, SS, and also is a solid special teamer, while Harris is more of a hybrid S/LB, so maybe they keep just 4 LBs, with Warner, and Dre as locks, then 2 of Al-Shaair, Gerry, Flannigan-Fowles, and potential draft picks. Gerry shouldn't see any defensive playing time, so that's why I think Harris will play some LB. I think we can upgrade over Al-Shaair & Flannigan-Fowles in the draft, plus they'd be on cheap 4yr rookie deals.
