I remember wanting McKinnley Jackson in the draft. They took Puni instead. Got them both in the end.

He was one of the best run stuffing DT's coming out of college.

Landon Robinson made him expendable

Do find it odd he passed waivers and wasn't picked up for a couple of weeks

6-1 1/2 330lbs…like that for leverage. We just need a guy that's not gonna get thrown around and eat up some blockers

Really at this point I don't care if he's not the best run stuffer so long as he's not getting blown off the line of scrimmage. I like the pick up but it might be wishful thinking for him to be the answer

He is big, but the Bengals did reach for him in the third round. He was projected mostly 5th or 6th round.

I like the signing. He'll be a great middle piece if Raheem goes on a odd 3-4 front in certain down and distances. Otherwise hopefully Thompson and Valdez get the call at some point to show what they can do.

Raheem was able to stop the Ram running game by overloading it via scheme and personnel, but that won't work against offenses that are ahead and have very strong run games.

We doing that projection thing again?

Glad we got him finally. I don't think the 9ers had a big DT like this since Jones. I mean more stout than big actually.
The Colts look like a dumpster fire. Would be AWESOME if this could come to fruition.

Buck was one of my favorite picks this past decade….that said we need that cash for guys that have a future here to build the roster. I couldn't imagine giving up meaningful picks for him.
We need someone like Vince Wilfork or Haloti Ngata.

Hell if we going after him, might as well add in Nelson too lol...

How much do you think they'd ask for a 32 year old DT on the last year of his contract? A 3rd with some change?

As much as I'd love to get Buckner back this is true but I can't think of a proper NT for trade.

Just me, but I'd like ShanaLynch to find some free agent undrafted and low round discarded young gems to stock our roster. I think our defense, once the injured players get back (Mykel being one) will be one of the stronger run stopping DLines in the NFL. (rooting for James Thompson and Sebastian Valdez to evolve into valuable starters - if given the chance)

I wish but Lynch would have to mend fences the way things ended here.
