It's that time of the year when we all put on our "expert" cap and predict the results of what lines up to be a very interesting, and challenging season. No prizes, just bragging rights. You can enter/adjust your prognostication up until the first game time. I'll update the list every couple of days. Members only but joining is free, so sign up. (Also the Pick-em button is live again.) To add some interest, include a short defense of your pick. The roster is all set. Not a lot of surprises, but some interesting players to follow. A lot of good "old guys," key guys, on the roster this year...but will they stay healthy? That is the big question. The WR room is typical. If Old Guy Mike Evans stays healthy, along with the return of Old Guy Deebo, plus young Stribling, and the rest, it is a strength. Brock Purdy should have his best season yet. RB room, with Old Guy McCaffrey and a couple of young studs behind him, looks like the best we have had in a while. OL will always be a talking point but if Puni plays back to form and Old Guy Trent continues on, will the talk be more positive this time around? The defense, with a not yet old Fred Warner leading the way once again, plus the return of Dre, and addition of Osa, should be better and more balanced than last year...but will the young guys solve the run game defense. Will Bosa look like a young guy again or more like an "old guy"? That is the key question. If he doesn't, will Romello be the guy? Will Brown finally live up to his draft position in the back? Will Jack Jones be the phenom he was in training camp or the on-again, off-again player he has all too often been in the past? As always, lots of questions but that is what makes it interesting. Then there is the schedule; At this time last year it looked like we had the weakest schedule in the league but it turned out to be stronger than projected. This year there is no question. We have a very tough schedule. Wins will be hard earned. After the Rams game, which will feel like a home game, we play four of our next five games as home. That should help settle things in early. However, beginning on November 29 we have a tough stretch with the Seahawks at home, then a long trip to New York, followed by the Seahawks at Levis on Sunday, then Thursday night against a good Chargers team here. From there until the end, it will be playoff football every week. I love it! If this is finally our year to stay healthy, this could be a season to remember. After last night, I'm thinking qnnhan7 has the inside track. 14-3 baby. As Steve Young said this morning, IF, IF, IF, they stay healthy, this is a special team.

I'm with Steve.

I love listening to Steve, has such knowledge and great perspective of the game. He really sees the bigger picture with things, just love hearing him talk. The interviews with him always fly by fast for me cause I am so locked in to what he says lol. And I am usually just nodding my head yes to whatever he says.

I haven't watched alot of Herbert and I know there are mixed takes on this guy. What I have seen from him, I am not as enthusiastic as Steve but he definitely knows more than I do lol. Maybe he just needs to be "unlocked" with the right settings down there with the Chargers? Who knows but all I care about is the Niners. If.if.if.

We should already have a couple of SB wins under Shanny but he's gotta win one, he has to, I think he will eventually, hopefully.

Sucks cause we were peak in the 22/23 season. Just hope the older dudes can keep pushing. Someone wrap our whole team in bubble wrap please lol
