Mustapha and Sigle are both projects that I believe deserve another shot being our safeties with hopefully an improved pass rush. If our pass rush continues to suck then our Safeties will continue to be a liability.

Sigle was atleast in contention of making plays on the ball, he just didn't execute. Maybe with Morris he can coach him up.

Yeah that you'd think should come with some more experience and comfort. He has the speed and range we sorely need and he showed he can be a sound tackler

Agreed. I'm very high on Sigle. He lacked the mental game and confidence and communication that comes with it in his rookie year. This resulting in too many blown coverages that got him benched. But he showed by far the best traits/flashes and he has a shot to be a very good.

If he shows up comfortable and confident in his reads and assignments in yr2 look out.

Worst unit on the team
This.

We don't need a safety, we are going to sack the QB every play.

Even on running plays!

LFG!!!!!!

I wish ShanaLynch would put up some first round capital for the defensive backfield squad. A possible 2027 day one or two pick like:
Bray Hubbard, S, Alabama
Height: 6-1. Weight: 206.
Projected 40 Time: 4.45.
Projected Round (2027): 2-4.

I have no clue, I don't watch college ball, but if we can shore up the defensive backfield squad for the playoffs next year I'd be so happy. Because if we encounter good QB's behind elite OLines in *this years* playoffs, I don't think we can go very deep into the playoffs with our secondary full of holes.

Hopefully Morris can coach our DB's up this year to shore that squad up. More likely he'll (hopefully) advocate for a top flight defensive backfield help in the 2027 draft. Maybe something akin to the 1981 draft, if the pass rush develops this year.

However I doubt Kyle will ever break his tradition of never drafting a DB in the first round, though.
Kinda hoping to see a Justin Simmons signing at some point

Dude is 32 didn't play last year and said he wants to go back to the broncos.
Safety Room is full of big hitters that are not great in coverage. I really wish they would draft a ball hawk free Safety.

Amen. I'm tired of watching safeties that just come up and throw a shoulder into the receiver trying to jar the ball loose instead of trying to get and INT.
Diggs would be my choice. Vet back there would help

I'm betting he'll go where ever the money is.

There just aren't as many good ones anymore. You had so many better FS in the league 5+ years ago. And that's largely due to $$$. These high school kids know that they are better off as CB where you can make double the money in the NFL. So any great athlete who wants to play DB, will mostly always choose to play CB in college if they can.
Could a player that is on the roster playing CB be moved back by Morris? Intriguing minds to know..

Of the ones available, which has the best wheels to play centerfield and not a box guy?
