If it was me, he would be playing FS.

Yeah, I thought about that. His skill set and size as FS would be cool. Unless he's a badass corner from the start - I don't see how he cracks any playing time, without a bunch of injuries).

I don't see FS in his future. From the games I saw he was playing boundary side which is common for the bigger more physical corner but playing in limited space then moving to something as open as FS would give me reservations. His film shows he's not a strong open field tackler and panics when beaten.

Do you see anyone on the current roster who.can play FS ? Brown is awful . Sigle was at least in good position a lot of times, but got torched

I'm all for Sigle being the FS next year. I truly think the pass rush will make our secondary look much better. I remember Sigle got beat with a deep crosser by Tutu Atwell and people were upset with him. I was more upset the pass rush couldn't get pressure at all on Stafford than Sigle getting beat on speed wins route by one of the fastest players in the pros.

That's why he's not playing WR.

I agree the pass rush will definitely help. But our DB's especially the safeties just do not cover well enough to be in position for the interceptions in my opinion. To be true ball Hawking DB you definitely need the physical attributes, but a huge part is having the instincts. In my opinion, you cannot coach instincts you either have it or you don't. I just don't see it with Brown or MM, in a perfect world they would be more of a SS type and we would bring in a true Deep safety. Sigle does have potential but I would have to see more to determine if he is the future there.

I'm optimistic Sigle can take the next step. He showed a lot of good things but also made big mistakes. I thought he improved a lot.
i also agree that having a pass rush will help him. Will help our entire secondary. It's nearly impossible to have a reallly good pass D if you have the worst pass rush.

And that's why defensive players aren't playing on offense lol

Another Whitherspoon/Ambry Thomas pick imo. I'll wait to make that judgement but his tape shows separation given up.

I think new Coaching and a tweak in the defensive system can - at least hopefully - upgrade the instincts of our secondary, the way Foerster can get day three OLIne picks to play like day one picks.

Warrior mentality of Ephesians. Maybe this is what the 49ers need:
Ephesians 6:11-18
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Therefore, take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day and, having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.
16 Above all, take the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God,
