It is called motivation. Stop coping. Start doing.
We also need a new *nasty* OLINE.

That author is dumb as rocks placing the bears, Seattle and Washington as the top 3 SB winners ever. Like absolutely dumb as f**k fantasy football take right there

I agree the 84-85 team was stacked the 89-90 team was unbeatable. The 94-95 team was great at every position. That take is a crock of crap 💩 Darnold over Joe or Steve. Walker over Craig and Waters give me a break. Witherspoon over prime time. I have to go puke after that bull.

If we don't get very aggressive in FA for Oline we will get manhandled in the tranches. Seattle does have one of the best Dlines I have seen.

We need a lot. I'm curious how we approach free agency. Would love to bring in someone like Alec Pierce but there are rumblings he's getting franchise tagged by the Colts.
I think as much as it sucked seeing Seattle win, it hopefully will make us rethink some things and adjust.
They killed us at the guard positions. I still trust Puni to get back to form but we can't have cheap rentals or duds at LG anymore. Also how adding key veterans can improve the play of the group. I admit I thought the Lawrence signing by the Seahawks was an over the hill player who wasn't going to bring much of what they didn't already...boy was I wrong. Dude was a hell of an addition for them and helped their young guys really glow up.
What I do hope is we go into free agency looking to address a few clear needs with legit additions. The cheap smart additions are needed as well but a couple of big splash signings for players who are able to come in and give us things we need and have reliability with their play so far.
Have to do whatever we can to go into the draft where we can simply draft BPA and not leave us handicapped at any position. If we go into the draft with clear holes where we have to reach for need it will not likely lead to success.

East coast bias always comes out against SF, but not for Seattle for some reason. It's bizarre.
The 1984 49ers were right there with the 1985 Bears in dominance. Also had a much tougher SB opponent. Yet hardly anyone outside of 49er fans even knows they were the first 15 win team. I bet if you asked 1000 random NFL fans 75% would say the 1985 Bears were.

All these mock drafts are living in the past offensive and defensive schemes -- we don't need DE or small YAC WR.
The pass rush disruption and need is up the middle. Maybe Collins and West develop in year 2, but the 9ers could still use help here.
DT is a key place to upgrade
Small, fast receivers are not productive enough - especially in the Seattle heavy zone coverage designed to smother YAC.
Thick body, durable, large catch radius WR is key to add to the current WR mix
OL has to be able to hold up against the dominant 4 man pressures from Seattle and Rams
LG is key upgrade. 2 good guards will make C look a lot better. If the guards can hold up against the DTs, then C can get chip and get up the 2nd level
OT - in a dream world a LT falls to 9ers that can play LG in 2026 and move to LT in 2027 - that's a rare athlete tho.
Additional Upgrades
>SAFETY - If our safeties can't excel in Raheem Morris defense, the I expect the right FA fit to be signed
>TE - Dual threat TE able to back-up Kittle and replace him in 2027
>WEAPON - Offensive move piece - they need to plan to replace Juszczyk and find another Deebo type move piece
>RB - CMC could still be effective if the wide zone runs didn't get blown up by DL penetration or stacking. But regardless, they need effective depth as CMC ages.
