if the 49ers come out in their base wide 9, the Rams are going to run duo--McVay's favorite run and the wide 9's biggest weakness--over and over again until the 49ers prove they can stop it. It's so damn obvious that this is coming after how bad the run defense looked in the preseason. I hope that Raheem has them prepared for this.

Yup, good memory! The Rams OL is massive and straight up bullied the 49ers DL. Saleh even shifted to 5 man fronts, which didn't help stop the bleeding. Then McVay used it against him and put Luke Gifford into coverage.

If we know it's coming, Raheem sure as hell better have the boys ready for this.

I agree, Rams defense was already really good before the addition of Donald. 9er fans are coping down playing it because of his age. Donald could be half the player he was and still make a pro bowl
