I know we all fear owner meddling in football decisions, but I have to admit, I want the 49ers owner to exert himself on a couple of things. It was clear the ownership pressured some changes last season reigning in spending and signing players - or at least jettisoning the damage from the Aiyuk contract.
But this year, I want them to put some more demands on KS and Lynch:
1. Fix the darn injury problems now, no more fiddling around the edges. Demand a sincere plan to change staff, warm-ups, practices, offseason stretching regimens - SOMETHING. The 49ers have been high injury outliers for too many years. As an owner I would let it be known loud and clear I'm sick of paying for guys out injured and getting poor results on the field because of it.
2. If you draft a player high, he plays. Even if it's just some select plays a game that the new players can handle. But no more red-shirting WRs without developing them with live playing time. Again, as an owner, I want to see my $ capital and draft capital put to work toward future wins.

Agree with the first one. We need some kind of change there. Just can't make serious runs with our top guys out.
Second one tho…who got red shirted outside of Lance who clearly needed it?
Pettis, Deebo and Aiyuk all got a lot of playing time as rookies(even if Kyle had issues with it in some ways) and Pearsall got to play…after he recovered from a gunshot wound. He just didn't make an impact cuz he wasn't doing his part.
Owners shouldn't get involved in who coaches should play, that will make things go bad quickly. We don't want Jed York making football decisions.

I agree. Also I demand a complete tear down of the drafting process from A to Z. I'd bring in a draft expert and strip the power from Lynch and Kyle to make the ultimate picks. Yes they can have their input but someone else with a proven track record makes the picks. This gets announced this week if I'm Jed.

Perhaps someone from the Ravens organization. They always seem to nail the draft. They do an excellent job of allowing the draft to come to them. They pick BAP and most importantly, they don't lock in on one position and reach and get cute like the Niners do. Other teams seem to watch hours upon hours of tape on players where I feel Kyle one John go more on gut feelings that often times don't pan out.

With good reason. Just like Patrick Mahomes was btw…something that wouldn't have happened here.

The Ravens have won what since 2017? I don't disagree that they tend to draft well but not that much better. They nailed the Lamar Jackson pick and everything else ends up being a whole lot easier when you nail on a QB like that. They have their share of misses too. Hell they took Hayden Hurst earlier in that first round before taking Lamar.

The Ravens have Malaki Starks and Kyle Hamilton as starting safeties as an example of good drafting . We have Malik Mustafa and Jayir Brown..If not the Ravens, pick another team that drafts well and loot their scouting department. But before they do this, Jed must acknowledge we have a problem…
