I'm old enough to know that SEA was an AFC team all throughout the five Super Bowl wins. I was there. The only real rival we have in this division is LA Rams and SEA had one chip. One.

When I rank rivals I go

NYG
DAL
GB
LAR
SEA
and as of late

KC

You young dudes go SEA but that AFC team ain't got but one chip and that's new money to me. I'm an old school fan that's been a fan before most of you were born and I've got a bric at Levi's and a seat from Candlestick. So yea I'm a real fan and I'm not worried about SEA because 5>2. I rooted for SEA vs LAR and vs NE who has 6 chips already I'll root for the again

You new fans are something else

Grandpa, do you remember Steve Largent?

You were rooting for Seattle? wtf………

I was at Levi when Seattle punked the 49ers on thanksgiving night. I've been to Seattle 3 times and every time was a friggin embarrassment. The first being when Alex smith called a timeout before the first play of the game. That was so brutal.
I'm an old timer too. I was around for the old rivalries with Dallas and Green Bay. Those rivalries are dead and dying. Seattle and the rams are it right now. no way IN HELL was I rooting for Seattle to win. If anything I wanted the rams to win because the patriots could easier dispose of them.
We already saw the superbowl -- last night.

Seattle will dominate NE unless Walker gets hurt.

Here's a thought: two coaches are in the super bowl that don't know anything about qb's.

McDonald said in his press conference that he is NOT a qb guy: 6:50 mark or so https://www.seahawks.com/video/2025-nfc-championship-seahawks-rams-mike-macdonald-postgame-press-coference He said exactly that.

And darnold is thriving without micromanagement. Zero turnovers last night, 300+ yards, 3 tds. Plus a bunch of really good money throws. Klint dialed up some money plays for Sam when the pressure was on ... and he delivered. Good for him.

The universe is speaking. Are we listening?

Hopefully it will light a fire under Jed, Lynch, and Kyle's asses
Meh, it is what it is. I don't hate them as much as I did when Carroll and Russ were there. Plus I'd rather New England not extend their Lombardi count over us. I will say though, if Seattle's second year HC wins a Super Bowl with Sam Darnold, it will lead to some uncomfortable discussions about Kyle all offseason unfortunately. Get ready for it.
Knowing Niners had beaten them with a nearly full roster.

Boy this forum really loves Kyle's regular season wins.

can we hire klint kubiak and a real gm? That playcalling for Seattle last night was spectacular.

It's all cope man. I totally understand the propensity towards it. Otherwise you have to deal with some very uncomfortable issues.

Klint did a great job last night. Loved how he brought that no name fullback into the game for a couple of clutch receptions. Good job.

The better Seattle looks in the playoffs, the better we look. After playing scrubs the last 6 weeks, we need the confidence builder frankly.

What about the seattle db coach for our dc? In McDonalds presser he talks about how he had to make in-game changes to their scheme cause stafford was eating them alive. Towards the beginning. I thought, that would be a good enhancement for us.
Every year someone wins a superbowl in someone else's house. Get over it!
Just turn your focus to the 2026 season. It helps.

lol no real Niner fan would ever pull for the Seahawks to win the SB on our field.

It's not so much pulling for the Seahawks but how can you want NE to win another one. Unfortunately it can't end in a tie or no contest.

Not sure why this is even a thing. If it bothers you, don't watch the game. Seems like a pretty simple solution. Seahawks and Rams were better teams than us this year. If we hadn't had all of the injuries and Aiyuk hadn't given up on the team, would it have been different? Maybe. But that's not the way it worked out. The fact they played against each other in the NFCCG should help us determine what we need to do to get back in the mix since I thought it was a pretty good indicator of what each team brings to the table. A few impact players on both sides of the ball with youth and speed would be a good place to start. Go Niners!

All world arm talent. Throws the ball on a rope outside the numbers on the money. Yeah I'm jealous that arch rival Seattle has a better QB at a monumental discount allowing team to build around.

I'm happy for Darnold only. If Seattle wins the SB, it makes Lynch and Shanny look like fools. They fired Carroll and in 2 years made it back to the SB. I think Shanahan should remain head coach but Lynch has to go.

btw, McVay was atrocious this game.

In what way does Seattle winning make Lynch and Shanahan look like fools?

I'm rooting for the Patriots bc who cares if they win their 6th before the 49ers? Not in the same conference, never played a meaningful game against them, and the 49ers haven't won in 31 years. Plus it's a completely different team than their other 5 wins. It means something to people in their 60s but for people under 40 who weren't old enough to remember the Super Bowls it doesn't.

That being said if the Seahawks it is what it is. I am rooting for them to lose but not going to even care 10 minutes after the game. Bc the rivalry has only had both teams being contenders in 2012, 2013, and 2025
